They haven't changed because the A. the earth doesn't move. B. We're not moving through the solar system like we've been lied to. C. The stars move but in the exact same way since they've been created by God.

There are 88 known & named constellations. They have remain unchanged (essentially) for billions of years.

I see a pattern here.

yes .... The earth has no movement . The sun and moon are moving but all the stars are moving at a fixed rate

I would like to be sitting in Death Valley at midnight, while high on LSD and watch 100,000,000,000 stars flying through space. That might be pretty cool.

strangely they move in unison even if one star is light years closer as scientists claim wich would also render there claim a lie . How can a constellation keeep its form then?

I think stars are lights we dont know anything about.

Its absolute proof everything about astronomy is just speculation, constellation theory is proof

Joke sent to me by D-Mass:

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep.  Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, 'Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see?

'The Lone Ranger replies, 'I see millions of stars.'
What that tell you?' asked Tonto.
The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, 'Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.   Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo.   Timewise, it appears to be approximately a quarter Past three in the morning.   Theologically, the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant.   Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.   What's it tell you, Tonto?'

"You dumber than a Democrat . It means someone stole the tent."

I know arguing with you & Wiggs is futile, but for others reading, this is actually an interesting topic:

The constellations do in fact change shape slowly, and are quite different today than they were millions of years ago, and indeed slightly different today from their appearances during ancient Greek/Roman times. And, yes, even 2000 years ago, they were a little bit different.

The first person to discover this was Edmund Halley in the 17th century, while plotting ancient Greek constellations.

The reason they seem to change shape so slowly is that 2000 years is actually not much time, astronomically speaking. Neither is ten thousand, nor fifty thousand years. The timescales at play here dwarf your day-to-day experiences and therefore become easily dismissed by ignorant or crazy people.

That’s also why their speed appears so slow to us. You can cover up an airplane flying across the sky with your finger as it flies at 600 miles per hour, even though your hand is going less than one mile per hour, because this is how relative speeds are observed at different distances. The same principle explains why stars, which are many trillions of miles away, can appear to move much slower than your day-to-day experiences would suggest they should.

the stars are at different distances from earth in the constellation. Thus a constellation would not hold up

Time is a subjective issue. Human time is a fart in a hurricane.

When it comes to the cosmos it's best to abandon the concept of human time.

Is Cosmos in a constant state of Cosmosis?
