Weight-training enthusiast and journalist Steve Neece collapsed in front of a store’s magazine rack and briefly pounded his own chest, screaming, “No! No! No!”

Good guy.

RIP

Two days later and I still find this hilarious for some reason hahaha

Rest In Peace all. Gone way too soon.

Saddest was Dallas because his bud Josh L. didn't know CPR. He can live with that his entire life.

Pffff….Dallas had serious problems previously and still kept going hard. He would have died in the next year or two if he hadn't of stopped taking all the drugs which lets face it he wasn't going to do. Hardly Josh L's fault. Porter Cotrell did know CPR and couldn't save Mohammad Benizza, can't blame the guy that lived.

Nope. Don Ross.  So sad...

Loved the bodybuilding life for 25+ years. Gave everything he had to the world of bodybuilding. Loved the sport. Helped hundreds of people get in shape. Love nutrition, fitness and bodybuilding. After 25+ years he had almost nothing. Nothing...

...Then after being a featured writer and photographer for so many years he became the Editor & Chief for Muscular development.  $70,000 per year.  Company car.  Expense account. Paid travel.  After all those years of work and getting amost nothing-  he did it! Six months later he had a massive heart attack and died.
Tommy was friends with his wife Rita on Facebook until I deleted it about a year and a half a go. She was a very cool lady. Talked about Don quite a bit.

Despite his death being sad, I know what you mean. When the story was told to me, it fit right in with the personality I knew. The big fella was no-nonsense and very much a man’s man. I could absolutely visualize him doing this. Defiance and masculine stubbornness right till the end.

Awesome AND funny.

All deaths mentioned here were self inflicted. Tragic? I'm afraid they were caused by arrogance, stupidity, and many mental disorders / lack of self knowledge

Debbie Dobbins

I do remember this one being very sad. If I remember, it was a house fire, maybe started by Christmas decorations.

On the Don Ross thing - I remember he was dieting down a bit, felt a pain in his chest and waited a little, then went back to the treadmill. People use to wonder if he'd still be ok if he just left for the day or went to the hospital.

I’m sure it had nothing to do with drugs, all predisposed genetic conditions  :D

this could be argued for almost any death of a person younger than 80

Having Ed Conners suck your dick was a right of passage I thought. He has had just about everyone.
Friend said he saw him grope Jay Cutler and blow several.

Wasn't Steve Reeves 74 or 76 when he died?

What made it sad?

I will check on Wikipedia now.
