First picture: December 2016 - 170-lb, ~16% body fat.

Second picture: August 2018 - 213-lb, ~30% body fat.

Third picture: A few days ago. I have had six weight training workouts in the past six months. Emaciated. Dropping the fat until I reach ~165-lb, then clean bulking up to 175-lb. I will be in the same condition as the first picture, with new muscle mass due to natural aging.

It's fat, but not hard estrogen deposits. Not gyno.

My chest genetics suck...I don't think that gyno lookalike is present in my fit picture?

We'll see by some time in July.

What have Getbiggers found to be the best motivation to get in shape?

Arnold said to motivate himself to bring up his weak calves - he exposed them.

That's what I'm doing here.

This is disgraceful - letting myself go after being in shape for literally 15+ years.

The 35-lb+ weight loss is a start.

I'm willing to train balls to the wall and go on a 0 carb diet to make it happen. Not to say that is necessary - or even beneficial.

But I'll do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get back.

Umm...only minimal gear though. Anavar? A good supplement should be enough. I'm just trying to be 175-lb at ~16% body fat. Not anything special. Just my personal best shape while pushing 40 [I'll be 38 in December - I'm TA's age].

I don't think I can get much bigger and leaner than the first picture without juice.

Anything past 185-lb, training naturally, just goes to my stomach.

But I can be a wee bit better than that first picture.

Keep in mind, with three kids, I can only dedicate so much time to my physique.

MAYBE I'm a pessimist regarding my genetic potential. But I think I know my limits.

I'm doing it naturally (also lifetime) and that plus the fact that I'm 45 is making things very very hard.

What I found it's the most important thing is to be consistent: I started on November last year and see the weeks go by with minimal results can be really frustrating but you have to stay focused.

The first step for me was the hardest one, so the worse is behind Matt!

Nice to find a compare here! So you'll have no problems getting in shape thanks to the superior Italian genetics  :)

Given time I understood that be consistent is not a problem anymore : train hard and stay focused just becomes who you are.
Of course for me being 45 means that every step is more difficult and takes more time.

I learned that a one a week squat day (15-20+ all our reps for 3-4 total sets) might trigger some GH release (at least it seems). Maybe give it a try. In any case it's fun and challenging and helps me to stay on track

Don't compare yourself to 'roided up bodybuilders.  It's not real.

My 2 Cents. Judging by what you wrote about your weight and picture I bet you would look great at 165lbs natural. You're out of shape in the gain weight pictures and I give you props for having the balls to post your pictures here. Being a natural you should train like an athlete and not as a true bodybuilder.  Include real cardio with your lifting and not grandma slow walking on a treadmill that I see all the bodybuilders doing. Anyway that's my advices.
