The first gay pride parade was on June 28, 1970, which was the first anniversary of the Stonewall riots. I have yet to attend a gay pride event. But then, I have a phobia that causes me to become uncomfortable and anxious in crowds, so I avoid them.

How many folks do you think who march in or attend gay pride events know its origin?
