Glad he finally realized he was a drug addict. No different from a heroin addict.   Like all steroid users, deep down inside they know they are nothing without the drug assist. They actually think they have incredible training knowledge and a work ethic.  Their training knowledge and work ethic do nothing for them without the drugs. They want compliments for their manliness from other men.  They are so fucked up in their mind that they actually think they are clean after a contest when they do their clomid, HCG, anti estrogen and pin for straight testosterone. They think they are doing therapeutic testosterone. Even after heart problems and stroke warnings they rationalize it away as preexisting. Bodybuilding could be one of the best things you could do to decrease the risk factors to health but it has become sick subculture of the insecure trying to tell the little boy in their mind that they are a man.  A man by any means.

I recently switched to a gym where 50% of guys and some broads are juiced. It’s interesting how the biggest guys are the loudest, carry themselves like they own half the world, huffing and puffing during heavier sets etc. Really putting much effort to come off as an alpha. I was wondering the other day, how can you be so comfortable and confident in your fake muscle suit when a twink from the street can kick your ass. I mean if I were really big I’d be embarrassed if I couldn’t at least put up a good fight.

When I first did jui jitsu there were only three dojos in the entire United States. There were only two UFC contests and everyone in the martial arts was amazed at Royce Gracie.  I remember the early days of learning under the only American black belt at the time Craig Kukuk (if I spelled his name right?).  Guys from other arts would come in with their black belts on for their first lesson. The next class they would have a white belt on.

If you have never rolled on the mats in jui jitsu it's a humbling experience and it really hurts the ego. Same if you're not a striker and try boxing. One guy was always in the class. He was a little skinny Hispanic guy. Might have weighed 145lbs soaking wet. I don't think I ever heard him talk. He always had a smile on his face.  I never saw him lose a grappling match.  Cutting to my point a lot of really big "tough" guys would come in to class motivated by this new UFC competition that was the rage.  One guy weighed about 260lbs. I still feel genuinely bad for him. He got submitted right off the bat by the skinny Hispanic guy. Then he was tapped out by all the white belts. Back then there were three belts in the school. White, blue and the only American in the nation was Craig the black belt. Some of the white belts then would be purple belts in so many schools today. Anyway he left with tears in his eyes having been "castrated" by twinks. He never returned. I wish I could have talked to him and said it happens to all and no one escapes being clueless grappling against skilled opponents. Many guys who lift weights are insecure. If they wanted to be in great shape they would be running and doing stuff like chins and push ups. If they ever fought in the ring in boxing or on the mats they would be crushed psychologically.

You see the guys on drugs strutting around with their false confidence, acting tough, superior in their muscle suits.

They're cocky, they get in fights sometimes, due to their artificially high test levels.  Of course everyone reacts to different degrees.

Not everybody gets in fights and so forth.  Everybody struts around though.

Usually these guys are late teens to 20s.  Then they give it up.  They take on adult responsibilities.  They lose interest.  They stop training too.

However, some guys never give it up.  Their egos are built on it.  A mental addiction.  They can't become Clark Kent again after being Superman.

The TRT industry is built on the insecurity of men also.  Same with Hair Club for Men.

The amounts of drugs bodybuilders take nowadays is so far above what guys took in the 70s it's ridiculous.  You read some of the posts in the Steroid section and it is incredible.  Guy only wants to get ready for the beach and he's taking more than guys took in the 70s for competition.

It's foolish but go ahead and mess yourself up.  Have at it.  Wreck yourself.  Be on artificial hormone replacement for the rest of your life because your nuts fell off and you need a heart or kidney transplant.

With all the due respect for guys that are competing (without peds would be pointless) i do believe that for the ones that are lifetime natural training with weights after your 20's becomes a real passion.
Regardless of the results : I see little to no progress in the last 5 years or so, but you know what? I'm doing it anyway because I just love it.

Yes that sounds crazy.  One shot for test, maybe two/three for different  anabolics like one for Winstrol, Equipose V, and Deca, growth hormone and maybe a couple a day for insulin. So maybe 6 or 7 for the lunatics trying to win a contest. I forgot a couple for spot oil injections. Bodybuilding is insane.

Some compounds they have to inject several times a day. Like insulin, and growth too probably.

What I wonder is how he financed it because you cant hold a job pinning that much, eating and training all the time

Depends, but some do, typically these are the extreme “addicted” cases, not the norm for recreational lifters or even the serious lifters I’d say from experience

Tnx for your input. I myself have considered taking up some sort of martial arts to improve my stamina, ability to at least defend myself and improve my overall mobility. I will never entirely give up the BB workouts but i have really let myself go regarding some aspects of physical abilities like mentioned before.

my 2 cents for bbing

-it is important to take your build as far as you can natty and love your natty body
-it is key to take long breaks and make gains natty
-and remember an enhanced body is leased - enjoy it while you have it but remember to love your natty body just as much
-mindset is key in bodybuilding - you need to have good self esteem and its deeper than most ever realize (Frank Zane approach)
-it takes money to bodybuild - this is not a cheap hobby or sport

I am not claiming Mike O'hearn status but it is key to make gains not enhanced

-practice your posing
-priority training on certain body parts (low abs, lats, calves)
-get your walking around BF as low as you can
-rehab your body, your joints, your skin
-work on your will power
-your cooking and prep skills

^^^that is what I have been up too as of recent ^^^

Perhaps if he was injecting a few times a week instead of '20 times a day' he wouldn't have all these problems?  ???

He said he even struggles to eat food, his digestion is bad, has no sex drive, is impotent and his joints hurt.

another example of the modern bber falling apart at the speed of light compared the 1940s to early 1980s guys who seemed to balance things pretty well.

They think they re fighters!! Like they've got a black belt in bicep curls or something. Hilarious
