You may be right in that the states' prosecution may not be successful because ultimately the case will end up in federal court. However, this does not mean that governors enforcing their state laws is pandering to leftists as you suggest.

Honestly, would you say the same thing if the governors prosecuting federal law enforcement officers for breaking state laws were right-leaning republicans like Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX), Governor Bill Lee (R-TN), Governor Brad Little (R-ID), Governor Henry McMaster (R-SC), or Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR) and the President and the administration were left-leaning democrats?

I am right.  About the purported prosecutions and the governor's motivation.

Let me know when any of the governors you mentioned openly violate federal law and threaten to prosecute federal agents trying to enforce that federal law.

Where does your comment about the governors violating federal law come from? Are you saying governors who seek to prosecute federal agents for violating state laws are in turn violating federal laws?  If so, I believe you are mistaken. Is there a federal law against prosecuting someone for violating state laws? A state can prosecute a federal agent for a state law violation if the agent was not acting within the scope of their official duties or if the action was not necessary to fulfilling their federal role.

My comment comes from your question.

This is about the Oregon governor openly failing to enforce federal immigration law (Oregon is a "sanctuary state") and threatening to try and prosecute ICE agents for enforce federal immigration law.  You can try and ask hypothetical questions about some unnamed state law allegedly being violated by ICE agents, but Oregon successfully prosecuting ICE agents for enforcing federal immigration law is never going to happen.

Not that the current administration 'gives a rat's ass' about following the U.S. Constitution, but:

Tenth Amendment Rights Reserved to the States and the People
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Further defined; As per the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the the federal government cannot "command" state and local officials to enforce federal law, including immigration law. In legal challenges to sanctuary policies, courts have consistently rejected efforts to force states to comply with federal immigration enforcement requests.
