If this goes to court and if he is found to be 'innocent' ..... is it remotely possible that he could sue Pecker and the IFBB simply because everyone in the good old USA is considred to be innocent until proven guilty by a court of law ... and not according to public opinion.
It may have been more resonable if Mr. Pecker had asked him to step-aside until this situation was brought to trial.
Any up to date lawyers on this board?
my post here from another thread about the legal details - my opinion
--------
I assume the IFBB contracts are ironclad x100 and all IFBB pros probably signed something along the lines of:
- The IFBB can terminate and ban a competitor for anything/anytime etc etc -
signed by all IFBB pros and hence the IFBB will not loose a lawsuit. Civil litigation is hard to win when you have signed a contract and I assume the IFBB has a solid team of attorneys who draft these athlete contracts
from a business standpoint the IFBB was smart to cut ties ASAP. No one bber is bigger then the iIFBB organization and they need to distance themselves from Rhoden as fast and far as possible.
the IFBB will do corporate legal strategy 101 - "we cannot talk about the subject since it is a legal matter" and bury the fact he even exists - the smartest thing to do from a business stand point
they remove him from all Mr. O talks, they will tell the broadcasters to the same, they remove him 100% - it will be like he didnt even exist. pooof gone
