There is no doubt in my mind that a lot of people are concerned about illegal immigrants entering the country. I appreciate my Anglo Saxon heritage, but then, I have no experience being of another race or ethnicity. It is common to support that with which one is familiar. But some get biggers / Trump Nut huggers think that the illegal immigrants won't find a way around the wall. it will not fixed the issue on a 2,000 mile stretch land..
We need tuffer immigration reform/ laws with stiff penalties and not waste all this money on a wall ..

Border wall = just a symbol of a broken immigration system..

   

No security measure is 100% effective. I doubt anyone would claim that a physical barrier on its own is all you need. It's just an obstacle that will require time and effort to overcome, so it will funnel breaches to compromised places. That's how walls work. The more obstacles you present, the harder they are to defeat. Add radar and seismic sensors and you'd have a damn reliable detection system.  You could probably equip the entire southern border for less than the income tax revenue lost to illegal workers in a single year.

Part of the reason the immigration system is broken is that it can be completely ignored by people who simply walk on in. If you want stiff penalties then wouldn't it be best to reduce the incidences of having to apply them as well? Ounce of prevention, etc.
