Procter & Gamble has reported a net loss of $5.24 billion,
prompting speculation as to whether a boycott of the company’s Gillette shaving products after a divisive ‘woke’ ad campaign hit the company’s bottom line.

Love this part:

P&G claims the writedown is “due primarily to foreign exchange fluctuations, increased competition and a contracting market for blades and razors as consumers in developed markets shave less frequently.”

I can accept the FX effect having material impact but the rest is pure garbage....they made a monumental error in their "woke" campaign and men (such as myself) have abandoned Gillette altogether.

Nike has moved past GenX/Y and they are in full millennial marketing campaign. It looks like Gillette underestimated who their target market is.

This alleged boycott certainly didn't result in a multi-billion dollar writedown. P&G's stock price rose to an all time high the day the write down was announced.

As for Gillette, fuck that over price bullshit. Get some Astra Platinum safety blades. 100 blades for under 8 bucks on amazon.

Y'all will be some sad kuntz for a while, then.

P&G's stock price is up. The write down is because P&G paid a premium for gillette just before competitors like Harry's Razor and Dollar Shave club entered the market. Their shave business has declined for the last 12 quarters but they still own more than half the market. The decline in the last quarter was apparently smaller than  the previous 3 quarters.

Nike sucks, skinny shoes that fall apart with any kind of actual use as far as their regular shoes go. Maybe their cleats are better quality ???

I like their running shoes (outed), and they hold up to the 15 miles/week I clock on the treadmill.  Granted I am but a mere twink, perhaps a true beastly getbigger needs sturdier shoes for schmoe squatting and the like

Hebrews were made to look like saviours of White women in the ads [despite committing rape at 7-10x the rate of White men per-capita], so I can see why Al Doggity 🐕 still supports Gillette.
