My insurance provides anti-viral medications, not gear. I had blood tests done about 9-10 months ago before I started bodybuilding again and all my hormone levels were normal. As far as work, I was at a HVAC company for a long time before going back to school to work on a Masters degree. Since then I've worked part-time while going to school (mostly doing deliveries but also as a supervisor for the student-athletes study hall, as an assistant for the Fulbright program, and as a scholarship-receiving member of the Grad Student Gov. Association (though my main job there was, at request of the dean, to manage and coach my school's intramural football team to make sure we beat the school of law in the annual Turkey bowl game 😁

Your present location is the Northern California location where BB originated.

I got this info while doing extensive research on my family tree and discovered that the lifting of heaving things was part and parcel of my fanily tree going back to my great-great grandfather who was among the few pioneers who 'discovered' and built Orinda ..... which left my father's father with a large inheritance of vacant land in and around Orinda.

Sad to say, but he sold most of his inheritance for a bag of peanuts. And now St. Mary's College(?) is built nearby.

My father was a lumber-jack cutting down those huge red-wood trees in the Russian River area.

Needless to say ... He was in great shape and a friend of Steve Reeves' but for a short time during WWII.

But then Reeves went into the Army and my dad ended up working in the Shipyard in the SF Bay Area.

So that friendship ended until I had the opportunity to work with Steve a few years before he passed away.

Bodybuilding was relatively unknown back then except for a few lifting pioneers such as Steve himself, George Eifferman, my dad and four or five others whom I can't presently recall.

And Yarick's Gym in Downtown Oakland 'hosted' them all at one time or another ... and the last time I looked ...that  Yarick's building was still standing ... but now it's a drug store. (No attempt to be funny!)

Reeves and his gym friends (each of them very young) used to hang out at Lake Tamascal which is real close to Berkeley and Rio Nido on the Russian River which is about 65 miles from you in a NW direction.

That's where I first met Steve. He got in a fight that night!

Rio Nido was the one No Cal location where every Northern Cal kid
called "Home" for a couple of weeks during the summer months. I was fortunate because I lived there in one of those river-bank homes (2nd from the left in the photo) each and every summer during the Rio Nido hey-days.

That river-bank home floated down-river for one full mile one winter season until it hit the Guernevlle bridge ...... and sunk.

There were fewer bodybuilders than the number of fngers on both your toes, but those few are still considered within my mind as the bodybuilding pioneers of Northern California.

And now you're living there.

My brother-in-law attended that HVAC school over there near the big Oakland Museum and started his own company after a good number of years with TRANE and still installs and fixes those high-rise building AC's in downtown San Fran..... as ell as some sewage recycling plant a few miles north of the San Rafael area.

He also lifts heavy things and was an unacknowledged Navy hero for fixing a submarine before it ran into the possibility of getting sunk in a foreign port full of bad guys.

I'd let ya know what he did .... but then I'd have to kill ya.
