As of 12 noon today (Saturday, Sept. 7) the less expensive seats for the Jr. Olmpia events which  will be held on Thursday starting at 8:00 AM in the Orleans Showroom are $50 each.

That $50 price includes all fees but will possibly increase just prior to this event

The better seats were $100 each but according to the tickey staff, "They are all sold out!"

But I suspect that they are with-holding a good number of those up-front sets so that they can bleed the fans who show up late.

I can guarantee you that this event will be an initial sell-out but fans will come and go as each event starts and finishes as many in attendance will only be there to see a family or gym member during his or her event  ... so it may not appear to be a sell-out at times.

And ... Due to this Jr. Oly event ... the 'press conference' (or whatever it's called) in which Bob MC's ..... will be held in the Arena.

And all bars will be open 24 hours.

Tommy Wishbone, you lost our long forgotten Titus bet, so you still owe me many beers!

My deck of Gypsie Ouiji cards (only available in LV) says that someone whose initials are K.K. will win the Jr. Olympia and is trained by a "wild animal".

That's the only Jr. Oly info that these Gypsie cards were able to provide but the cards also claim that this forecast is 80% accurate.

It willl be interesting to see if this deck of cards was worth the expense!

CORRECTION: I have been informed that I mis-interpreted those Gypsie cards ... and that this KK fella (trained by a wild animal) will be in the pro classic physique lineup.

And if Ron's contender info is up to date that would mean that K.K. is Kirill Khudaiev (Ukraine).

Never heard of this contender.... nor who his trainer may be.

I stopped by the Orleans early yesterday (Thursay) to say hello to some old lifting friends and ended up in the Showroom seeing various parts of fhe Jr. Olympia (bodybuilding classic, and physique)  and I can assure one and all that anything to do with the NPC/IFBB is far from dead.

The showroom holds approximately 800 seats (a great venue for a contest such as this) and at times it appeared that every seat was occupied with fans coming and going as specific events began and ended.

And this Jr.Oly Contest started at 0800 and was still going on when I left the Orleans at 1630 which means that the contender list was in the many hundreds.

I only saw small parts of fhe contest throughout the day as I was too damn occupied helping old friends get organized and down to the pool and to the buffet and getting the kids into "IT" whcih I didn't think was a good idea, but one grownup went in with them in the event tht anyone got hysterical .........

I did notice that the majority of the Oly AMteur contenders were foreigners and mostly from Soouth Amrerica and a few from France and throughout Europe.

And while there were five classses within the bodybuilding event, only three received IFBB Pro Cards and only the super looked to have the potential to compete pro-wise.

Bodybuilding contests are very boring unless you know the contenders so I didn't pay too much attention to the results and will leave that up to Ron.

I ran into Bob and Solomon and Dr. Tony Hiuge and others whom GetBiggers most likely have never heardof  but the doc was the only one who had the time to join in a conversation and I will say that I did enjoy that brief discussion.

Some of his guys were competing, but I have no idea how they placed.

I left before the event ended .... but it did appear to be a major success financially with a great number of contenders.

I also took a look inside the "Press Conference' which was this year held within the arena and it also looked like every chair was occupied.

So thiis Oly week had a great start-off and the smart guys expect to have 65,000+ attending the Oly Expo Friday and Sturday.

I forgot to mention that I was present when an award was presented to a 'little person' (I forget what the polite term is nowadays) but it was damn deceent to notice that the NPC (worldwide NPC) is recognizing individulas with disabilities and will continue to do so in the future.

But .....

It looked pretty strange to have a four foot contender competing against six foot competitors .... especially in the line-up.

So the NPC might be making some changes which will draw the interest of others with disabilities ... thereby leveling the playing field somewhat.

I gotta say that the audiance was very receptive and the little competitor was very-very thankful for the reception.

And, of course, he also got a trophy whcih he sincerely appreciated along with the fans in attnedance.

Ron will most likely recall the name of this new NPC Worldwide contest endeavor.
