I know nothen this year out!

So I'll rely on Wiggs and Taco and Coach and  Go-4 and Mike and Old School and Ron (of course) and a handfuk of you other self-called, experts to let me know whatz up and see if there are any pending  Oly bets in this town! (Illegal as that may be!)

BTW .... The 'Jr. Olympia tix start  at $100+ numerous additional fees this year and you can bet that Thursday early morning event at the Orleans will be a sell-out.

Plus if any GetBigger plans to invest in those expensive, up front, Oly finals, seats ... you're out of luck  ... They're all gone!

I get two each year and give them away to the poorest looking fan waiting in line to buy a back-row seat.

So ... Howz Bumstead goona do this year?

Lots of injuries this year... that being said he will place second (although I would have him as the winner) ... he’s the future (tall good looking kid/ tons of muscle , will help promote the “ Classic Physique Division “and the IFBB for a whole new generation of up and coming enthusiasts)

MARTY, You're one of the better guys on this board and I got a shitload of respect for ya and the condition in which ya used to be, but I do't think you have enough interest on whom or what is gonna enter or even win the Oly events this year.

I'm a whiteguy (the last time I looked) and ain't the least bit prejudiced, but if I was judging this event (and I ain't) I'd pick Bumstead over Brion.

ha ha its all good im a white guy to, breons structure is going to be hard to beat, bumstead i think his health problems can play a huge role in how he will look, plus breon is nearly 40 i think bunghole is 25?  not sure. though .

Take a close look at those pictures above ... the pic of BREON and the pic of Bumstead.

That's what bodybuilding was supposed to be in the good old days ....a physique that was good enough to pass a Physical FitnessTest with flying colors and be on a team that would impress members of Congress enough to convince them hat we were a decent fighting force and deserved the pay that we hoped to get.

But then came the bulky blunders who lifted heavy things but couldn't complete a five mile run with a heavy pack and a rifle slung across theirs shoulders. Nor walk up a flight of stairs without breaking a heavy sweat and a loss of breath.

And that's the start of a story that got lost and should not be told.

So back to Breon and Bumstead whom I assume could pass any physical endurance test that was thrown at them.

But the Bulky Blunders (respectfully stated) never could ..... but are highly respected by most GetBiggers today.

Breon seems like a 212lbs bodybuilder who does classic - that is the problem with classic - is it for mini 212 guys over a guy with a "classic look"

i cannot think of his name George something won the Arnold in Mens classic and the dude is like another mini 212lb bber who does classic.

Looks good. Guys legs are gigantic though from what I've seen.

Bumstead looks awkward on stage. Too long limbed or something.

And it's possible that that Asian compettor will give Bumstead some concern. (As well as others.)

He started off with powerlifting when first in the gym, very impressive strength.

Well said. Absolutely nothing classic about George Peterson - shame that Classic division may well be another "open with a weight limit". If Classic was judged in accordance with true classic bodybuilding, Wesley Vissers would be placing top 6 (should conditioning be there).

yes it seems  men's Classic is just another weighted competitive class not "classic bodybuilding" which was all about the tight waist, trimmer legs, posing etc etc. George Peterson is jacked and impressive but he seems like a 202lbs class guy from the early 2000s rather a "classic" bber with proportions etc etc n



Overall I think the IFBB/NPC has great classes with the men and women class

Open bbing is for the freaks - it is only going to stay that way - keep the freaks -  
212lbs the short freaks
Mens classic - what bodybuilding should be - do not up the weight classes! leave them as is.  I tend to favor taller guys - my bias -
mens physique  - great builds in that class. different look - this class is solid. it works - dont change it

womens
bikini - great for  promotions of health and beauty great for the sport -  big money marker for promoters and sponsers - $$$ bbbing needs $$$$  
figure - amazing builds/a bit more beef than bikini - love me a she beast  
Physique - freaky women - i think they need an eye on this so it doesnt get out of control -  women arent meant to be total freaks
