Working out and growing older
« on: August 26, 2019, 02:23:36 PM »
I am young, but can slowly see having a decade of training under my belt slowly dwindle. Perhaps four years of drugs was the main driving force, and after going natural and slowly losing mass, I am faced with the truth behind the syringe. Despite working and dieting really hard, the scale kept getting lower, while all my XL shirts slowly went from tight to baggy. With that, I slowly starting losing the drive which I never in years would have thought would ever happen to me. Its transparent that once you juice, theres really no turning back to the same fire once you get off the gas. Maybe growing older has forced me into more meaningful pursuits, while engaging in more activities outside of forced eating schedules, and secret drug lifestyle.

Am I simply maturing and chasing after more substance, or am i in denial of my former drug use. And how the drive I once had was almost entirely based on the drugs and growth. Before I starting I using, my early twenties were an addiction. I touched a weight I blew up with excitement as I grew. I maintained that fire well into my mid twenties, but once I came off at 28 I started questioning my ethics. And after close to two years clean, the workouts,  and passion are a fraction of what I once was

bodybuilding is purely a egotistical pursuit. And the moment you add drugs, you're chasing a temporary look. And If you do manage to get off, you will only know then how much of you're true devotion to the iron is. Most people dont even know there drug addicts, even after they are huffing out of breathe, have terrible cholesterol and high blood pressure. They will still believe they are healthy while at the doctors being told that they should come off

Watch a parent wither away to nothing and die, nothing will red pill you on mortality and aging faster than that.

I am naturally an ectomorph with small structure but good shoulder to waist ratios. I managed to always have a good V even while I was skinny.

To put into perspective I have minimal fat and trained naturally from around 130lb to 165lb in 3 years naturally at 5'10.   Juiced to about 185-190. I floated at this weight for awhile as I wasnt willing to go over 700mg of test. So I cruised on 300mg for a solid couple years, while blasting for one year.

So when I came off this was not your ttpicaly fat marshmallow keeping gains or thinking I lost what I didnt already have.   Steroids are 100% temporary as I sit here weighing 160ish lbs again.

It took about a year for me to hit baseline again. Goes to show the importance of building a natural physique and base, because that's what you truly hold when you retire the syringe.  I am not huge but content with my 16 inch lean arms  :P

Bodybuilding really is mostly drugs. It feels like yesterday I was sitting at a heavy weight wearing tight XL t shirts. Nowadays I can barely fit into what I once wore, ever since I came off.  Kept training and eating, the loss was gradual but inevitable.

I never noticed the loss because it was so slow, it wasnt until people made comments and I wore previous clothing  that I truly realised that drug muscle is temporary

Are you going to have flashbacks every few months senile old fuck?  ::)

Agreed the site is called “Getbig”. Which is why we all initially probably came here.

This guy has high estrogen levels and is probably very depressed.

Buddy jump on some test for a bit. You’ll be fine

Why the fuck are you crying...........you`re only 28 years old.

If you decided to go "natural",then embrace it and be the best you can be while maintaining clean status.

You can still look great.

Beats being a whiny bitch like the OP.

Coach is annoying AF with his BS ridiculous business schemes and political talk but he’s one of the very few here who actually walk the walk when it comes to bodybuilding.

-Been there with my mom who was lived with my wife and me for almost four years while dying from emphysema. It is hard.  Who knew it was a prelude to seeing my wife's health disintegrate day by day for over a decade until she died of kidney failure. These are life altering experiences. I hope I go quickly in the night and spare my kids taking care of me.

Yes, you have been living a lie about your physique all those years on drugs just like all the other people who take steroids to have muscles are living a lie.
Take their drugs away and they become Clark Kent.  Those muscles exist only as long as they take drugs.  They can't stop because mentally they can't handle  reality.

How long did you train before you started taking steroids?  Sounds like you jumped right on.

Now you have to learn how to train natty.  You have to learn how to eat to gain weight so you can naturally be 185.

5'10" and 185 is very do-able if you eat right and train right.

You have to stay strong and keep off the steroids or you will permanently mess yourself up.

Train for the enjoyment of training.  If you don't like bodybuilding/weight training then do something else like running or biking or walking or something active.

It's easy to gain weight.  You can be back at 185 in a few months if you do it right.

You also have to be realistic about what is achievable as a natty.  Don't compare yourself to drug users.  Check out the oldtimers from the 40s and 50s like Clancy Ross, early 1940s Reg Park, Steve Reeves, early Bill Pearl (his 1953 Mr. America physique).

Right now you are emotionally depressed and most likely this is the from drug withdrawal.  Your loss of mass is from test levels being low until they resume normal function.  After some time they will normalize.

You have to stay strong and keep off the steroids or you will permanently mess yourself up.

Train for the enjoyment of training.  If you don't like bodybuilding/weight training then do something else like running or biking or walking or something active.

You’re right about one thing, anyone can be 5’ 10” 185 naturally. Whether you can look like a bodybuilder at that height/weight is another story. A black guy with good genetics can carry enough muscle at that weight with a low enough body fat percentage to pull it off. A white guy with shit genetics, which is most people, doesn’t have a chance no matter how long and hard he trains and how good of a diet he keeps.
