Ryder was still awesome in my book, but I have some cognitive dissonance in looking at her as a sex object.  One, she was just a kid when I first saw her; two, her looks were almost overshadowed by her creepy, depressive grunge/goth roles in Heathers and those Burton movies; and three, she reminded me a bit of my sister, both looks-wise and in her characters' morbid, pale, cigarette-smoking Nietzschian persona.

I like Stranger Things.  I won't speak to that dude's speech about Hollywood helping people (or whatever); from what I know of him, he's actually a good guy that just got caught up in the hype.

That aside, what WAS with Ryder during that circle-jerk ceremony?  I have indulged in a little booze here and there, but never to the point I didn't understand my surroundings.  Further, I've never smoked pot or used other mind-altering drugs, so I can't tell what she was taking to be so spaced out.  I would *guess* she was drunk based on the way that guy constantly had his arm around her, but beyond test, I'm a virgin.  What had her so fucked up?
