When I saw Francos back development in Holyoke Mass. back in around 1975,the image has been burned into my memory bank.

Never saw anything like it before.

As a teenager just getting into lifting, Franco was one of those guys who seemed super human. His passing reminds you of your own mortality.

A fatal accident can happen at any age to anyone. Some of us are lucky enough to avoid them well into our senior years and often we die from natural causes instead. Franco enjoyed a long life.

True but still to die alone family really had no chance to say goodbye. that's the sad part.

RIP. one of the first guys along with Arnold that convinced many of us to first pick up the weights. 32 years later still the best decision i ever made.

What a way to go, but that happening to him in his homeland is fitting in a dark way. His final resting place is his home. His physique gets shit on around here sometimes but in his prime he was one of the greats.
