Got to be that most of them grew up really poor and put great stock in appearance and flash.  

So they buy material things that are ostentatious displays of wealth to show they are successful.

When I was young black people drove Cadillacs while they lived in ghetto dumps full of roaches.

Cadillacs are no longer cool for black folk.

Newly rich people no matter what color do this in different ways.  People that can't afford it do it too by buying on credit.

Sneakers and slick clothes are a black man/boy's way of showing off nowadays.  Black NFL/NBA players where custom made suits, etc.

I know he's short, so perhaps tearing the roof off the car didn't harm him.  I am glad they all seem to be okay but I don't find Hart to be all that funny.  Of course I am certain that doesn't bother him in the least.

Looks like the responding firemen had to cut off the roof to get them out. Not a good sign.  Someone wrote did his seat belt malfunction? I don't know if that was a joke? Seat belts sure help in an accident but plenty of people die in accidents with their seat belts on.
