So at the finals, Bob Cicherillo announced that the IFBB Pro Women's Bodybuilding division will be back for 2020.  Jake Wood from Wings of Strength, in becoming a sponsor of the Olympia, contributed to make this happen.  Jake also helped organized the Legends of Women Bodybuilding this past Saturday at the Expo Olympia stage.

What will happen to the Wing's Of Strength Phoenix a week before the Olympia - not so sure.

But there is an audience out there for women's bodybuilding, and back to the Olympia stage they go next year!

here we go again, they will start rewarding overly muscular physiques and then get the girls to almost transition into men then pull the rug in a PC move, just like they did last time

Women's Figure, Fitness and Physique are all fine classes and that new Wellness class which I understand is like figure but with more "body mass in the hips, glutes and thigh areas" (Kwon approved?) sounds fine as well. Not interested in seeing another Kim Chizevsky or Iris Kyle. Wasn't women's Physique supposed to replace the bodybuilding class with a softer and less manly look?

There will now be five classes for women? How do the delineate between which people go into which class, is it a height to weight ratio?

Is there a real audience or is this simply the other Olympia contests subsidizing the Ms. Olympia again?

Remember when the Ms. Olympia used to be its own contest, separate from the Mr. Olympia?

Unless Lenda Murray is coming back, I really don't care. Iris Kyle was "Ms. Olympia" for nearly a decade straight and the show got canned. Same for the Ms. International.

Apparently they believe there is enough interest to bring women's bodybuilding back or it wouldn't be considered. Hope it doesn't turn into another side show.

Not really. If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense. The Ms Olympia used to be an event in and of itself. Now, it needs the men's Olympia to survive......as do the other Olympia shows. They brought the Masters Olympia back too. But that didn't last too long.

As long as you have ro-beast women like Iris Kyle or whoever just won that Wings of Strength show, the Ms. Olympia will be on life support for a year or two and then fall flat. The physique women are pushing it, as it is.

No Ms. Olympia since Murray has made the cover of a magazine, unless you count MD/MDFH/ANMD's pic of a 50+ Rachel McLish, who looked more like a fitness star (complete with boob job) from 20 years ago.

From what I can recall, back in the day, you had the mens open, the womens open, and the Masters.

Now, you have all these pointless divisions, just so the IFBB can fill their pockets.

They just need to go back to old school and have men and womens up and masters.

Too many divisions. It's watering down the Mr. O weekend.

Heres hoping IFBB bodybuilding dies a slow, painful death--we need to get rid of all these people who promote drug abuse (steroids, GH).

Again, there was at time where the Mr. Olympia and Ms. Olympia were separate shows. Usually, the Ms. Olympia was in the spring and the Mr. Olympia was in the fall.

I believe 1994 was the last year that such was the case.

Before my time lol

But that’s a potentially good idea.

I stand corrected. The last Ms. Olympia held separately from the Mr. Olympia was 1993. And those were in late fall, not spring. That was won by Lenda Murray, with second going to her white doppelgäguy, Denise Rutkowski.

When they introduced the Masters Olympia in 1994, that's how the Olympia weekend thing started.
