Yes, many of us here in Swe started working out after seeing Arnold as Conan, but there was a select few who started with Black Magic and Necromancy after seeing JEJs depiction of Pölsa Dum / Thulsa Doom.

The movie and Robert E Howards mythos sure left an impression on us!

We did the same as kids and the local priest went crazy. You know Italy is quite religious ( and even more at that time).

Exactly. Crom became a forbidden word quite fast (like divorce, condom, prissy etc etc)

His track record is not the greatest.

But I do love the U.S. version of The Big Blue (1988).

He hates it and won't let it be released on DVD or Blu-ray.

Only his very overrated European version and its subsequent extended cut are available.

I have the U.S. version on VHS. Sadly, it is fullscreen.

It was on Netflix some time ago in widescreen. It's not on there anymore.

A copy supposedly makes the rounds on torrent sites, but sadly, I've never found it.

But I'm ranting.

Wonder how much monies Luc Besson made. (since so many of his movies flopped)
