Nitpicking?  You said "You won’t find a single food in nature that is both rich in carbs and fat", which is incorrect.  Then you said "If u know of such food please let me know"

So I let you know of, not just a single food in nature, but many.

Does milk contain 30g of carbs and 30 g of fat per 100g? Guess not,  that’s what I’d consider rich in both macros

LOL...now you change your story and set impossible standards.  Even if it did and I proved it to you, you'd change your story and move the goalposts again.   :D

That's no way to look at macro ratios in diet, BTW.  Milk is mostly water.  You have to look at calories:

100 g whole milk has 61 total calories
4.8 g carbs (32% of total calories), more grams of carbs than fat, but less calories from carbs
3.25 g fat (48% of total calories), less grams of fat than carbs, but more calories from fat

https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/fdc-app.html#/food-details/336070/nutrients

Yes, those are significant amounts of calories coming from both, carbs and fat.

I understand your view but still 61 calories per 100g is not much at all for a food that is supposed to be rich in both carbs and fat eventhough milk is mostly water. You won’t find powdered milk out in the wild.
Cashews on the other hand contain 500+ kcals/100g.
But still, foods that are rich in both carbs and fat are, i stand corrected, generally scarce in nature( not non-existant) and probably weren’t consumed on a daily basis in the pre-agricultural era.

Oct. 1, 2019

Public health officials for years have urged Americans to limit consumption of red meat and processed meats because of concerns that these foods are linked to heart disease, cancer and other ills.

But on Monday, in a remarkable turnabout, an international collaboration of researchers produced a series of analyses concluding that the advice, a bedrock of almost all dietary guidelines, is not backed by good scientific evidence.

If there are health benefits from eating less beef and pork, they are small, the researchers concluded. Indeed, the advantages are so faint that they can be discerned only when looking at large populations, the scientists said, and are not sufficient to tell individuals to change their meat-eating habits.

“The certainty of evidence for these risk reductions was low to very low,” said Bradley Johnston, an epidemiologist at Dalhousie University in Canada and leader of the group publishing the new research in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

The new analyses are among the largest such evaluations ever attempted and may influence future dietary recommendations. In many ways, they raise uncomfortable questions about dietary advice and nutritional research, and what sort of standards these studies should be held to.

This happens all the time. Every decade, "experts" swear up and down that a certain food will KILL YOU DEAD if you eat it.....only to reverse course 20 years or so later.

In the 70s, it was butter (hence, they invented margarine....which they now say is even worse).

In the 80s, it was eggs

In the 90s, it was red meat.

In the 2000s, it was any kind of saturated fat.

So, we're right on schedule for a reversal. And, I just heard that these un-meat burgers, that Burger King and McDonalds are peddling, are loaded with the very thing that was taboo last decade....SATURATED FAT!!!

Now, MCT oil is back in style. I hadn't heard of it since the days of John Parillo in the late 80s and early 90s. It was part of his prescription of feeding certain bodybuilders up to 10,000 calories per day, to help them pile on mass. But, MCT comes from coconut oil.....WHICH WAS A HEARTBEAT AWAY FROM ARSENIC, in days gone by. Theaters stopped using it to make popcorn, for health reasons of course. Now it's all the rage again.

Margarine was invented in 1869 in France.

It's gone through many different formulations.

You're better off eating real butter.

Thanks for the clarification. I agree about eating real butter. But, since butter was deemed poison in stick form, margarine became all the rage as a healthy substitute. But, now those hydrogenated oils will supposedly put you in the ground even faster than EVVVIIILLL butter was supposed to do.

Hey MCWAY!  Good post, as usual.

Thanks! I'm sure it won't be long before chicken (heralded as the wonderful substitute for red meat, that bodybuilders have been ingesting ad nauseum, since I first started reading Muscle & Fitness) becomes the latest "death on a plate" food.

I ate a ton of margarine growing up because it as less expensive than butter.

We also ate those canned peas that were all soft and mushy and faded in color and tasted like crap.  Again because they were less expensive.  The can was probably coated with BPA.

And a ton of standard peanut butter that was loaded with hydrogenated fat.

We grew our own vegetables and apples and my father sprayed them with Malthion.

My grandfather put arsenic on the tomatoes to kill the tomato worms.

I should be dead already.

You guys need to get with the program.  It's all about the RAW carnivore diet right now

Erm... well at least to this (admittedly somewhat offbeat) little fella internet 'celebrity' who - for obvious reasons - appears to be one of Vegan Gains' (remember him?) many arch-enemies...

Nope, you just ate subpar diet and human body can handle a lot of abuse for a long time.

Being super health scared and eco conscious as is the trend now is something that leads to anti vaccine and veganism cult crazies in end any way.

Red meat consumption should be limited and I don’t need a scientist to tell me this. Rotting flesh isn’t my thing anyway.

Look up the story behind the introduction of corn flakes by Dr.Kellogs. If i remember correctly he wanted to supress testosterone levels in young boys thus preventing them to think about sex and masturbating. He wanted them to consume more plant based foods and stay away from meat lol

Lancet. 2017 Nov 4;390(10107):2050-2062. doi: 10.1016/S0140-6736(17)32252-3. Epub 2017 Aug 29.
Associations of fats and carbohydrate intake with cardiovascular disease and mortality in 18 countries from five continents (PURE): a prospective cohort study.

High carbohydrate intake was associated with higher risk of total mortality, whereas total fat and individual types of fat were related to lower total mortality. Total fat and types of fat were not associated with cardiovascular disease, myocardial infarction, or cardiovascular disease mortality, whereas saturated fat had an inverse association with stroke. Global dietary guidelines should be reconsidered in light of these findings.
