Garbage cars in quality, reliability, resale value, drives like shit, non profitable dying brand, all American marques are
Ford, GM and Chrysler make good vehicles.
From an economic point of view the big three are very important to America. Employing over 300,000 Americans and paying well. All three have improved the design and build quality of their vehicles as well as improved the efficiency of their plants.
They have improved but not on par with other automakers like Toyota, Honda, or other German name plates
Germans have started slipping too. I think only Honda produces quality vehicles these days.
Still have a Honda CR-V from 2004 (four CR-V's total in my driveway), never did a thing to it except tires and brakes.Still runs amazing 15 years later.
Even if the Big Three did improve quality, it is nothing compared to Toyota/Honda/Hyundai or Kia. I have owned all the major domestic and foreign brands. GM = junk, Ford = so so and Chrysler = garbage. The UAW is responsible for a lot of this.
Hyundai and Kai are both complete shit.
