Great documentary about WW2!
« on: October 21, 2019, 06:48:20 AM »
4,5 hours worth watching (even in one piece). More exciting than any movie of the past two decades.

Almost unbelieveable what was going on just a couple of decades ago.

Waaay too many reasons that would never happen, BUT it would be very interesting to see how things would be today if Germany did win.

The Axis powers consisted of Germany, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, and Spain was 'neutral' but sent volunteers to the Wehrmacht. Vichy France also provided troops for the Wehrmacht while all occupied territories provided 60 % of the Waffen-SS who were foreigners. Finland was also a co-belligerent.

In the east, Japan was also part of the Axis and Thailand was a co-belligerent, run by the military.

However, yes, in the west Germany would have been by far the dominant power. The one's calling the shots and the biggest cultural influence.

Their plan was to divide the 'European Economic Zone' into fascist or national socialist states with Germany expanding into the east and Russia, while Italy would have the Middle East and Africa. And Japan, would have free reign across Asia.

Italy and Japan had their own reasons but Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, and I guess all or parts of Bulgaria had all been part of Austria which became Anschlussed into Germany.

The World at War episodes which was made in the 70's and narrated by Laurence Olivier remain probably the best documentary series on WW2.

It's difficult to find accurate, impartial films on WW2 and Nazi Germany. It may take another generation or two before we start seeing them.

A great one concerning A. Hitler's outtakes from film he appeared in.
Things like Hitler when he would forget and start rocking in his seat at the Olympics...or hand flapping and the like.
It advanced the idea that Adolph was "on the spectrum".

I live in Romania and my grandfather used to tell me quite some storiees about the german soldiers and the russian ones. He said the germans used to be quite polite and when they crossed Romania they would treat the civilians kind and commited no attrocities. There are stories that they even paid for the meals they were served on their way and also if some dumb soldier commited an offend to civilians he would be severely punished by the superiors. The russians however had no shame, they scavaged and took everything they would find worthy in their way, raped the women and do all the nasty shit in the dictionary without any shame whatsoever. Even today if you look at the average russian you see how dumb and shamless they are, idiots who spend most of their time driking and doing retarded stuff.

Econimcally, there's not a whole lot of difference in Nazi Germany and present day America.  Hitler's economic policy - at least what he campaigned on and was labeled socialism was mostly the idea that "internationalist/globalist", foreign, alien entities would not be allowed to plunder the country by having some Jew in New York city own the entire production capability of the country that doesn't even live there and receiving all the profit from the work of people who actually do live there a slumlord system.

You have the same slumlord system in present day with people like Tim Cook owning millions of Chinese slaves and he doesn't even live there.  Foreigners should never be allowed to exploit native inhabitants.  It's always going to end with the natives, whether they be German or Chinese, burning everything to the ground anyway.

The National Socialists and Fascists referred to the Allies as the 'Western Plutocracies', comprised of international banking cartels and plutocratic elites which controlled the finances and politics of the Anglo-Saxon countries.

Adolph just went a little too far with the concentration camp thing. He should have just taxed the hell out of the money lenders and used the loot to build his Third Reich.

Watch the greatest story never told

It’s very long and I haven’t ever got through it, but it’s pretty cool how they piece it together with other films.

I enjoy these ones too. 24 of them I believe. The intro is pretty bizarre.

Fascist propaganda from WW2. They were saying this would be the future of an Allied victory.
