Man, that's some shit. Luckily, for the vast majority of people, living with HIV today is not the death sentence it once was back in the 1980's^TM. With the advancements pharmaceutical companies have made (the geniuses that actually create the drugs, not the doctors that prescribe them), most people with HIV can live a full life given they lead a generally healthy lifestyle via proper nutrition, exercise & supplementation. Sadly, this young girl seems the type that will most likely die of a drug overdose. Being a hooker/stripper just isn't the kind of life you want to lead given these circumstances.

All shit aside, I wonder how the tattoo artist felt while doing the job.

Yes, they're still more susceptible to other illnesses, often minor in a healthy person but which could weaken their immune system even worse and kill them.

And if they stop the meds they will die. Not immediately, but probably quite soon.
