I have no problems with individual use unisex bathrooms.
My problem is with the multi-toilet and sink , public bathrooms.
Like you, I don't care who's in there with me, but that's NOT my concern.
It may sound old fashioned or quaint , but no woman needs a 6 ft drag queen in the next stall.
A tranny man may demand their rights, BUT, what about the lil' girlscouts?
Why should some drag queens need for "diginity" be a greater need then a 12 yr girl or elderly lady?
What about the female's need for privacy and personal comfort?
You are not being old fashioned, but you are hanging on to what you are used to and resisting change. Change is inevitable. Some women wouldn't care if there was a 6' drag queen in the next stall.
When I was a kid, I only used public restrooms when in dire need. Mostly, I'd hold it until I got home. Being an only child, sharing a restroom with a stranger feaked me out. Even in my late teens and early twenties, if I really had to pee, I'd leave places with public restrooms that didn't lock and go to the nearest gas station where I could be alone while taking a leak. It would not have made much difference to me if the stranger was a tranny a drag queen or a bull dike. The first time I realized there was a woman in the bathroom I was using, it freaked me out. There have been occasions when another male would try to act impropriately with me while using the restroom.
