I've said all along the President doesn't control the economy.  But I believe THIS President inspire a confidence in Wall St that is unprecendented.

An easy question to any Democratic candidate would be "Under your Presidency, do you believe the economy will improve, and, if so, why?"

I think that would be a difficult question for them to answer.

Do I want it, no. Do I agree with Grape’s assertion that 401k may tank a bit, probably. I guess it’s just me actively accepting that I’ve been fortunate the past handful of years, and if I have to shoulder carrying the “economic weak” to shut all of this inequality nonsense down, then so be it. If it doesn’t work and the collapse happens? Well, I’ve got plenty of lead and brass to trade with and property off the grid to ride out the revolution. 


I will say, my retirement has had a very good run the past few years, and I should have my house paid off in two years if it just “levels off” after the election. I’m hoping for the best for all of us.
