Also, the Indian politician and freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose sought German help to defeat the evil Brits during World War ii. Unlike Gandhi ,one of his political rivals, Bose was not a pacifist.

Bose later raised a force, out of captured Indian POWs, at Singapore called the "Free Indian Army" ,who fought (not nearly as well as the Japs) the Allied forces in Burma.

Doesn't say much about Ceylon, a country with a such a large population (including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Burma) were controlled by such a small force of Europeans for so long.

Even Alexander the Great, with his small force, was on his way to conquering those lands and did defeat several of their Kings in battle.
