Five family members, including three children under the age of 10, have been shot dead in San Diego.
Three boys, ages three, five and nine, were killed alongside a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman. An 11-year-old suffered a gunshot wound and is currently undergoing surgery.
The suspect is believed to be among the five people dead.
The shooting happened in Flintridge Drive in the Paradise Hills neighborhood of San Diego, according to the San Diego Police Department, as reported by Fox 5.
Police told Fox 5 they received a call at 6.49am but nobody spoke to the dispatcher. Arguing could be heard in the background.
When officers and looked through the window, they saw a child covered in blood, prompting them to break into the property.
Inside, they found a number of people who had been shot.
The youngest boy and the man and woman died at the scene of the horrific shooting, while the other two children died in hospital.
The home is just a block away from the elementary school.
