I think I recall hearing Richard Donner (the director) speak about how actors and actresses should be worried about this sort of thing because one day in the near future there will be no need for a "new James Bond" because they can just simulate for example, Sean Connery.

They could then pay his estate a fee to use his likeness in new Bond films.  Or they could actually come up with a simulated human that the public accepts and never have to pay them or worry about them getting old.
