I belive you got Greta's name mixed up with the Adrian Vandenberg, a male rock musican. Greta's last name is Thurnberg. She became a climate change activist a year ago when she was 15 years old. She may have needed her parents approval to pursue this. I'm not convinced her parents put her up to it though. Fifteen year old girls often have a very strong will. If you had a teenage daughter, you'd know this.
