I was doubting, but it does seem to somewhat match this above photo of Reeves taken in 1948 in mannerism.

Also included in that thread, was this hilarious rumor from an old gossip book -

*OK. This was two years after Reeves apparently dislocated his shoulder,  while riding a chariot ,  on the set  of The Last Days of Pompeii. So, maybe this anecdote is a little unfair.

Ruggero Deodato didn't like Reeves or most other muscle men either. He mentioned Reeves would make changes to scripts, demanding more speaking parts, etc..... He said they'd go through the motions of shooting his added new parts with no film in the camera, and that would make Reeves happy, and it would be forgotten about.

Deodato also liked Gordon Scott, said he smart and easy to work with.

Edit - Deodato was Corbucci's assistant second director on many of those films, I should have mention that earlier for context.
