I used all machines for back day. Pump was insane. Overall, machines are far superior to free weights (unless Olympic lifter) for staying in good shape and for longevity.
the lat machine is the most versatile piece of equipment in the gym. throw in some one arm rows with good form and your golden.
Variety of pullups simply kill those machines !.
i said versatile as in triceps, biceps, back. leg and abs work. can you do that with a chin up bar. but chin ups are a superior back exercise.dips chinups and pushup should be staples in every bodies routine.
