I think that women who go for men past their 50's are usually not carrying so much about how shredded their bodies are or whether they sport a full head of hair with facial features that cut light well. I think that young men that are into men in their 50's look for some key characteristics in these men:
Father-like figure that can give them a different level of affection and guidance in their lives
A captivating mind that is well versed in most things that people find interesting.
A position of power & influence within society and/or their social circle
Money (I don't mean making a big salary per year. I'm talking financial freedom by way of assets that provide you with passive income that allows for you to not have to work at all.)
A lack of desire to have to prove yourself to others from a socio-economic standpoint. Confidence is sexy and women like men that aren't obsessed with how well other men are doing in comparison.
That's just my $0.02 on the matter.

P.S. When all aforementioned characteristics fall short, money still trumps it all. Women are attracted to money. With it, they can become financially secure, not have to work, hire younger men to fuck them and medically alter themselves to look their best until their last days.
