Can't believe liberals are rushing to defend Iran. Here was an Iranian general in Iraq who has been known for placing bombs in roadways to kill our soldiers. Remember Benghazi where they begged for help and no help came? Our Embassy in Iraq asked for help and Trump responded immediately with such a show of potential force the "protesters" left. They did do one thing interesting after throwing gasoline bombs over the walls. They wrote the name of their Iranian general leader on the wall of the embassy so Trump knew who to kill.

I guess you're not old enough to remember when they took 52 Americans hostage from our Embassy in Iran for 444 days in 1979. We had to take action especially after Benghazi. Yes, when our Embassy is attacked by terrorists we have to take decisive overwhelming action. Iran has been involved in terrorism against the US for decades now. Remember the 1983 Beirut bombing that killed 241 Marines that was ultimately was an Iranian job.

Some will claim that starting a war with Iran would serve as a great distraction to the impeachment and force the hands of Americans by driving them to re-elect Trump into office given that they wouldn't want to to bring in another candidate during unstable times of war.

I've heard this, but disagree.

Nobody cares about the impeachment. Most saw it for what it was.

A couple points post inquiry that have hurt the Democrats:

The obstruction charge for prevention of witnesses. The President CAN do this, but the law says it must go to the courts to settle it. The Democrats refused to go through the process, citing urgency. Now, after that claim and obstruction charge.....they've sat on the articles because they claim the want........

....witnesses. After the Democrats refused all of the Republicans' request during the inquiry.

Pure horseshit....they couldn't prove QpQ and Bribery, then overplayed their hand.

I think this move was what it was - an answer of force with force.
