Mark Forest was born on January 6, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA as Lorenzo Luis Degni. He is an actor, known for Goliath and the Dragon (1960), Hercules Against the Sons of the Sun (1964) and The Magnificent Gladiator (1964).

Used the money he made making gladiator movies in Italy to study opera.
Competed for the 1952 Mr. America title and finished 27th at the age of 19.
Third generation Italian-American.
Was the second American actor/bodybuilder, after Steve Reeves, to be recruited by Italian producers to star in sword-and-sandal films.
As of 2004 was residing in southern California, teaching singing and working as a personal trainer.
In the late 1950s he and Joe Mauri were featured in a nightclub act with burlesque queen Lily Christine.
