You gotta give the guy huge props. Watching him interact with people non-stop so humble, no matter if it's an IFBB Pro, a movie star or some random gymrat geek, taking a picture and chatting on eye level with literally anyone. I'd be so annoyed by all those f*ing idiots and train at midnight like Phil - but not Jay. What a class act and great representative for the sport of BB

I have a friend who is a pro bodybuilder (1990s, now faded from scene). He had nothing but good things to say about Jay’s personality. Peer recommendations are important too. And he had some definite negative statements about a fair number of others.

I watch his video's (I like the boring, quiet, non-screaming people) who act like themselves and not some fake made-up personality.

Never seen anyone in BB (at his level) interact with people like he does. He asks them about themselves, where are they from, their workouts, etc.
Takes pic's w/ everyone. (**Cough, Big Louie, Cough**).

Guys seems to really care, and "gets it", unlike many.
Loves the lifestyle still, and is in it still because of that. Good dude, almost as down to earth and popular as Genova.
Jason's in amazing shape though, Jay needs to work on his physique a bit more to keep up w/ Shit-Lord.

What a physique, I know Shiz-Val was quite the fan of his.

Jay seems cool...I believe he sits somewhere on the spectrum which is why he's so monotone. My guess is Keri split because Jay needs constant attention 24/7. She probably thought that when he retired competing, they could build a business and live a semi-normal life. She has to sit back now and say "holy shit, this guy retired because his body is all torn up and now he needs even more attention in front of cameras and talking about basically nothing in videos...

In 2007 when Jay was Mr. Olympia I contracted him to work a special event at a health food store grand opening. He was contracted for 3 hours. Several hundred people showed up and the line took over 5 hours to clear up. When Jay's manager told him his 3 hours were up and he could leave Jay told his manager he was not going anywhere until all his fans had an opportunity to meet him and take a picture. Another fitness celebrity hired for the same event left the second his time was up - leaving several fans out in the cold. Jay was cordial with his fans and the stores staff. Truly a class act!

I hear from some supp store owners that some of these IG celebrities are the absolute worst to do these meet and greats and store promos, greedy.

Doing shoulders. He took pictures with everyone who wanted. Was super cool with the younger guys.

saw an Interview he did some years ago he said they had a misscarriage. So maybe they didnt want to try again after. Now hes getting abit too old to have kids. But hey Trump was almost 70 having his latest kid..

Couple of observations. For a retired bodybuilder Jay looks amazing. Van Damme looks like he's not aging well. Too much partying? He looks like hell for 59. How can Jay workout with all the distractions? I understand why so many famous bodybuilders work out at unusual hours.

Gotta respect this.... When he was on top too.

Lots of girls are nice on their way up or down, but when you are no 1 and still carry yourself respecting others it is true class.
