Saw them so many times, lost count, even their last R40 tour, 4 years back. I didn't realize he was battling cancer, seemed to keep it quiet in a day of intrusive media.

1st album Drummer John Rutsey passed back in 2008, sort of a GetBigger who got into bodybuilding at one point in his life post-Rush.

Rush is dead, would like to see some sort of Lifeson/Lee tribute show or something w/ some different drummers guesting. Of course they would need to be amazing (Portnoy from Dream Theatre, etc).
Sort of like what Gov't Mule did when Bassist Allen Woody died.

I guess E. Van Halen isn't doing well w/ throat or mouth cancer (not good) childhood music hero's dropping all around.
Bruce Gary was a better rock drummer

Bonham was alright but vastly overrated. Alex Van Halen sucks. The Hot For Teacher drum solo was ALL effects.

If you don't play music, you may not know too much. Bonham was far from overrated. Alex far from "sucks".

Al and Geddy won’t ever again perform as Rush.

Ever.

Now, they’d possibly do something as ... something ... but it wouldn’t be billed as “Rush”.

Also, Geddy’s ability to correctly sing much of the band’s material is over. His voice is largely shot.

And Lifeson has quite bad arthritis.

Word in the industry is they've already reached out to various possibilities including Carl Palmer.
