This reminds me of the current faux controversy about what Jillian Michaels said about Lizzo.

Cliff notes version: She was asked about Lizzo's weight and she merely said that we should celebrate her talent and success, not her weight.
She said "it isn't going to be awesome when she gets diabetes".

You may be right, unfortunately. I have at a friend who just got bigger as each year passed. She was pretty large when we first met. That was almost 30 years ago. Eventually, her struggle to get from point A to point B was obvious. Within a couple of years she was using a cane, then a walker. Today she gets around in a motorized chair. How she gets from the chair to the bed is a mystery. How she gets upright and into the chair in the morning is incomprehensible.

Michaels was asked about her weight aka baited. The average young, black female that looks like Lizzo doesn't have the luxury of making millions off her voice. They have to get up every day and travel to and from menial jobs just to stay afloat. Once the health problems kick in they are fucked and we end up supporting them. It's a very dangerous problem in this country and time we stop sugar coating it.
