If WWIII were to break out into an all-out nuclear war

What would be the safest country to live in?

I figured the northern hemisphere would pretty much be out of the question. Southern Chile/Argentina? South Africa? Australia? Pacific atolls?

Believe it or not. The best place is the coastline.  ICBUs are not targeted there for possible invasions. I'm not making this stuff up.

Years ago (70's - early 90's ), Oregon, specifically the Rogue River Valley was considered the safest easily livable spot in the United States based on what the US Defense Department thought would be targeted, civil unrest, and nuclear fallout patterns. not sure if that's changed.

was gonna mention this, it's all about the high altitude winds and where they carry the fallout around the world, can be counter intuitive...

A friend of mine said Australia but... they would surely get hit because of their help to our mission. Nonetheless, Australia is huge and, even if Sydney and Melbourne get hit, weather patterns would send everything westward, away from Tasmania and New Zealand.

Come to think of it... NZ is my candidate.

Yes agree NZ would probably be the best, it's western so not a poor shithole, but unimportant enough to not get hit and so far from everywhere fall out would surely be next to nothing.
