I firmly believe this chasing numbers in life attitude and working all the hours under the sun for shit you dont need is a massive killer/ ruiner of mental health in todays society. What people really want is freedom.

$$ buys freedom.

Lol at XFactor friends only making 150k a year.  ;D ;D ;D

Gotta love getbig!

Most of my friends make a lot more than this.  I don't think some of you realize how expensive Toronto is. Go look at real estate prices downtown.  I live on 1 Market st next to the St. Lawrence market in a 3 plus den.

Daycare is $2,600 a month for 1 kid. Let that sink in.

$$ buys freedom.

in theory it should, but people get caught in raising their living expenses with their increased wages, or stuck with greed for more.Very few people are happy living below their means so they can retire early, usually pressure from the wife or keeping up with the joneses means they spend more money on bigger homes they dont need, to buy more expensive cars they dont need, or fill their homes they are never in with crap they wont touch after the first week."stuff" will never make you happy.

Money does equate to happiness to a certain point.

The research is quite clear that there is a leveling and/or cut off point to income and happiness.

I think the figure is around 70k in pounds 90k in eu.Usually thats for a family of 4-5 though with all the trimmings. And that happiness is probably having less struggle to feed kids, keep a western wife happy etc etc.Things that could have been avoided in the first place.

I wish I could tell you I was a "high roller" with no cares about money buddy. Like I said, look at real estate prices here. Coupled with day care for my 17 month old $2,600 and Montessori for my daughter at $2,000 that's $4,600 a month in schooling. Lot of work!

You do not wish that and don't say that. You probably have a lot less responsibility and can make decisions based on your liking.  I have to think about three others (wife and two kids) before I make a decision.

Yawn.

$2,600 a month is a parking spot in Manhattan.

But, you never fail to amuse with your bullshit.

No you don't. You have no idea regarding the level of hardship that XFactor has possibly dealt with in his life. He might be very comfortable in his present circumstance, but don't assume that you can't achieve the same or even better.

You're a very smart young man. I can tell. You're not nearly as smart as Vince Goodrum, but then again I struggled to meet any PhD'ers that were smarter than Goodrum during my times in both NYU and Columbia University.

Believe in yourself SF1900, become the man you were meant to be.

Hey having $4,600/Mo in schooling for my kids is high. Maybe to you it’s nothing.
On another note I have an office in SOHO (via acquisition made last year) address is posted here (along with my home address for the stalkers). The parking is absolutely nowhere near $2,600/Mo. You’re grasping on that one.

serious question, why spend so much on schooling?IQ is pretty much fixed in your genetic code, and amazing daycare, elementary or middle school isnt going to do shit for a kids intelligence.Put them through a good high school so they get in a good college so it looks good on a cv by all means, but I wouldn't waste money so young.Just my 2 cents.

An example
My infant son communicates to us in sign language and my daughter is learning 3 languages (English, Chinese, and Spanish). They are excelling at all and I can confidently attribute this to excellent schooling.

You need thicker skin.

If you’re spending money on your children’s education, then you’re making an excellent investment in their future.

You’re still full of shit and brag about material crap you don’t have and we all know it.

If you truly had half the things you brag about, we would never know. Wealthy people don’t go around trying to convince people they’re wealthy

You’re very jealous and I can appreciate that I see it from time to time. I do appreciate that you follow me so much, as I have no clue who you are nor care. Hope you can pull your life together and make something of yourself one day.
