Divorce attorneys encourage women to claim abuse to get favor with the courts.  Now some states have eliminated the old law that a man couldn't rape his wife.  This sounds right on the surface but it's really just another tool women have against men in court.  A woman's attorney can just say they are going to claim she was raped at some point in the marriage and the man will just give up and give her everything she wants.  And people wonder why men aren't getting married.

There are women that beat men.

Some do so because of their own psychological hang ups (childhood trauma, witnessing their parents being abusive towards each other or having one/both parents that would beat on them). Other women beat their men as a form of self defense.

None of us know what's really going in this situation, but I'd speculate and say that Johnny probably doesn't beat her and she instead is the abusive one.

No matter how attractive the person, you should never stay with someone if that's their demeanor.

I've known 2 women that had men that abused them. Both women were skilled/trained fighters in boxing, jiu-jitsu etc and would just put up with their abusive boyfriends (guys that were not trained fighters). Well, the day arrived when one of them decided to beat the shit out of their boyfriend. She beat that guy silly and did it a local gym just in case he would have tried to reach for a gun.

There are people out there that "need" that level of dysfunction in order to feel alive in their relationship.

I've met some (not all) people of certain race groups (Puerto Ricans) that feed off that shit. I've also seen some black mothers beat the living shit out of their kids in broad daylight. Some of the behaviors that play out between adults, I believe, are sometimes deeply rooted to their childhood.

This post will most likely come back to haunt me, but my ex gf used to do shit to me that if I did to her I would be in prison for!

She knew that with me being in law enforcement that I pretty much couldn't do anything, cause if I did the state would fire me without question. 

I felt very trapped at that time in my life.  She lived with me and I couldn't even get her out of the house that I own and pay for.
