Is our hair genetically encoded to grow to a particular length, and then just stop? My hair grows so fast, and then it reaches maybe just past the bottom of my ears, and then stops growing [or at least, radically slows down].
It looks like my hair reached a plateau about a month ago. Again, it takes no time to get to that length...then it slows to a crawl, or doesn't even move at all.
I'd love to grow hair to the length of his hair in that photo, but I don't think it's in my genetic cards.
Also, if we do have a maximum hair length, does it get shorter with age? I notice guys like Gunter Schlierkamp and Peter North used to have very thick hair during their youths, but their hair isn't as thick now that they have reached middle age or older.
My beard gets pretty thick. I'm going to grow one LAST beard, take a lot of pictures, and then NEVER grow a beard again, lol. I don't know how thick my beard maxes out at, but it gets pretty thick. I hate beards, but I would love to have hair like the guy in that picture - maybe not permanently, but at least just to try it. I don't think my hair will grow that long though.
Perfectly shaped nose.
Great post. And the hair!
