Vegan Cultists
« on: February 12, 2020, 03:36:54 AM »
Is nice if you want to eat a certain way, but the way they act is like the progressive libs, with threats, etc.
(When someone doesnt agree w/ them).  Retards...

-----

- Recently conducted meta-analysis concludes link between red meat and cardiovascular disease/cancer too weak to make blanket recommendations to consume less
- Major studies publication "Annals of Internal Medicine" editor-in-chief received lots of hate mail before study was published and had to shut down inbox
- THI (The Health Initiative, a non-profit org) directors asked editor in chief to retract this study
- One of the directors of THI is a guy named David Katz, you might know him from appearing in the fake news documentary The Game Changers
- Demand to retract study from THI violated embargo policy (stating that press officers are prohibited from circulating studies before they are published)
- Katz dropped from list of journalists able to receive studies before published, by now he is probably mad
- PCRM, another pro plant-based diet group files a complaint to the FTC and District attorney of Philly (lol?) for Annals of Internal medicine trying to spread fake news about red meat
- Katz called the study "a great debacle of public health and akin to information terrorism" because he doesn't like or agree with study results (lmao at information terrorism)
- Conflict of interest brought up as potential issues of the authors, however only received 1.5% of funding from beef industry
- When Katz confronted on his own studies (and that of his colleagues) being funded mostly by plant-based organizations, he plays verbal gymnastics and says it isn't the same
- Texas A&M University (where this study was based out of) writes a letter to Harvard (the alma-mater of most of the THI directors) basically telling them the actions of their alumni are very unethical, borderline defamation, and for them to get their chit together
- Several nutritionists drop THI as a sponsor due to this mess

plants have evolved for billions of years ways of not to be eaten.

Their sole purpose is to proliferate their species, as such they have created toxins and have also made themselves indigestible..

Of course Vegans are fucking retards.  Why are these studies funded by plant or meat companies anyway?  All of these modern day "scientific studies" have ulterior motives.

Yep the state of scientific literature, especially surrounding politicised topics eg "climate change" is a disgrace...

There's nothing scientific about it.

Joe Rogan had a couple guys on his podcast who hoaxed several "peer reviewed" publications with bullshit studies they made out of thin air.  Does anyone know their names?

There was a good study done to show that eating chocolate bars made you lose weight....

This is legit and was published by a low tier journal.

The way it is done is you setup a bunch of variables you are monitoring eg bf % ,kg weight loss, appetite suppression etc etc then you do a legit study on all the variables. At the end you do your statistical analysis on your real data from the study at a 10% statistical significance... What this means is that your standard error, (which is the amount of times the statistical outcome will be wrong) is 10% of the time and correct 90%..

So if you had 10 variables you are running the study on, it is likely one of them will have statistical "proof" that is not actually true at all but is in fact wrong in real life, ie eating chocolate bars makes you lose weight.

What the guys did then was to dump all the variables that were actually showing that eating chocolate bars was no good and run with the one statistical error that chocolate bars in fact make you lose weight and published only that data.....

Im all for people eating the way the want. When they get pushy, preachy, crazy, etc, then they are just being retards.
Started with vege-tards, now carni-tards are being just as odd.

Be an omnivore, figure out what you like better and eat more (or all) of that style you like. Don't attack others while "trying to save the planet".
Youre just a loud mouth douche in the end (who probably sneaks steak tips whenever they can)... ::)

Three years ago, I gave up meat ( beef, chicken & fish.) I don’t identify as a vegan, but I guess I am for all intents and purpose, I am. I feel great and enjoy the food I eat- I honestly believe that if you do at 30 what you did at 20, do at 40 what you did at 30 and so on . . . You are taking years off the clock.

Over the holidays I was rushed to emergency 3 times with BP 250/127 ( diastolic might have been higher, I forget ) so high one first responder had tears in her eyes. I was 9.5 out of 10 dead. Uncontrolled, unmediated BP had me on my back near death . . . The dr’s said the 200mgs of test I took a week added to my bloods thickening.

I’m running/walking daily, training 2 to 3 times a week and feel great. I am convinced the animal product free diet is perfect for me and should b e looked at seriously by anyone over 50.

If it works for you do it.  25 years ago I went on a raw food diet and thought I was going to die I felt so terrible.

I understand why someone would choose to be vegan.

Have you guys seen an animal get killed? I saw an uncle of mine killing a sheep by cutting his throat. It was gruesome.

Why most vegans don't get it's that eating meet is deep wired in our brains. There's evidence that several ancestors of Homo sapiens ate meat, so we're looking at millions of years of evolution at play here.

Humans crave meat. Sure, it's arguably a bad deal for the animals we eat, but nature isn't fair, it doesn't have an objective, it just happens.

We humans, happen to love eating meat. A protest is not gonna change millions of year of evolution.

Really??? Some of my food is raw, but most cooked. I recently bought “chicken- less” cutlets and made a chicken club house was wonderful. I suspect if you went from a regular diet to that product it might not taste as good to an individual, but most objective people would say it’s at least ok. Now, most fast food chains have vegetable based burgers - I heard Burger Kings is amazing.

On the other hand, I believe that as humankind becomes more and more wealthy, the empathy towards animals will increase to the point lab-made meat will be an everyday thing. But we'll probably never stop eating meat from animals.

Kinda started like that with me - saw a video of beef cattle being sent to a slaughter. One was out front, broke from the heard and it’s legs were trembling and it was screaming ( not mooing ) screaming in fear. I decided at that moment, that I couldn’t be culpable, no judgement on others, God knows I love(d) a good cheese burger, but I’m happy with that pRt of my life.

I hate tofu, vegetable burgers and vegetarian hotdogs.  The stuff tastes like dog food.  If meat is so bad why are vegans trying to create meat alternatives that taste like meat anyway?

I have no dog in that fight . . . I’ve had vegetable burgers and dogs and they suck. These new meatless products are good and perhaps produced to cater to individuals like me who love a burger but, can’t go the traditional route. I believes the alternatives are just that ( alternatives ) and with zero saturated fat are healthier.

You and I differ politically. Obvious statement, I know. But who is trying to push veganism, vegetarianism, homosexuality etc down your throat? I eat meat like it's going out of style. I have vegetarian relatives and friends as well as homosexual friends and relatives. I've never felt compelled to acquiesce to either. I think it's the rights version of fake outrage or unwoke victimhood. For the record, although I am a die hard liberal the woke shit is out of control.

Hong Kong has the highest life expectancy in the world
https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/HKG/hong-kong/life-expectancy

Hong Kong has one of the highest meat consumptions in the world
The HKU research shows that Hong Kong has one of the highest meat consumptions per capita in the world at 664g/day/capita (equivalent to two pieces of 10-oz steak). Pork and beef consumption are the highest, with average daily consumption four times higher than the UK.

Just the online tools when it comes up,and when some are around when out a dinner as  a group (work, or weddings, or funeral meals), we all get the speeches like we see online.
(You could be right there, lots of pubtard movements as well, trust me). You may be liberal, but seem like a normal Dem. (Not a libtard).

I have liberal friends who are normal (a few are bat-shit crazy) but still friends. You seem cool as fuck to me, so...
(And yes, I know I sound crazy to the Dem's as well, shoe fits)...  8)
