Had To Go Getbig In The Kitchen - Whatcha Think???
« on: February 15, 2020, 08:07:52 PM »
Been wanting to get this done for a while.  Had bought a Dickerson Buffet Server on Wayfair and had it assembled today.   Have a Laforte Crystal Decanter Set with some D'Susse Cognac in it (Switching to Remy XO soon) and my Humidor.  Got a couple Arturos, Bolero, and 2 Cuban Cigars in it.   Just mixed me a 13th and had a nice Arturo.   Also have a Primo Water System next to it.  It has hot water for my protein soups and tea, ice cold water, and a built in Kerig Coffeemaker.

I'm not hating on a man doing some man shit. Perfect time to invite a certain guy from Thunder Bay for a cigar.  ;)

Great job Vince. I have something similar to the Primo. I put it on a little stand so it's at a much more comfortable height to use. Thank me later

Nice although it pains me to see wine stored in non-optimum conditions ...

Obese...no, I wouldn't say so.  Soft, yes.  But Vince has long muscle bellies in his arms, and overall - Vince has a high muscle fiber concentration.  Very Oliva-like.

I do believe Vince is a bender though.  I vividly recall him stating that he had a boyfriend, in an Ironage post he wrote on here.

So yes, I think he is a bender.  Vince is not obese though.

The water dispenser is cool but the other thing is something people buy just to try and look richer than they are, and really doesn't do much for them deep down, or really excite them at any level if they are being honest.

Agree^ the water thing is functional and would be handy...

The server is a douche bag, wannabe rich (but not) addition, if you can't afford a servant to push it for you then you dont need it.

Water dispenser here is a must (we have a well). Only 1.95 for the 5-gallon refills at "The Walmart".
I just go an do them 4-at a time. (7.80). The delivery to here is 8.00 a bottle plus 8.00 delivery fee. (8.00 vs. 40.00).

Cigars?? nah, they're gross, and people just want to look cool smoking them. (Even they hate the taste).
Decanter's? Nah, real booze-bags pound it right from the bottle like I used to...  :P

I can see why you're thinking that, but I like to look at purchases like these as a reflection of your state of mind.

It's not so much a question of wealth, but living your best life. That's what I admire about Vince.

On paper he is an obese, 4 eyed, gap toothed, bald, homosexual black man, but in his mind he is a king. Some might call it delusional, but I'd call it a great example of mind of matter. A lesson for us all in how to achieve great mental health.

Vince, you previously stated that you enjoy a nice glass of Crown Royal (that you keep in your fridge).  Now I see that you keep a decanter of RM XO.

Have you tried Crown XO?  This might be your holy grail.  It's Crown Royal Whiskey, aged in used cognac barrels.

I don't really understand people who pretend to enjoy the taste of alcohol, it's simply something people tolerate so they can get high.Im a drinker myself but I don't delude myself that it's tastes good,I do it so I can feel a buzz or get drunk. If it had neither of these effects precisely zero people would drink it for the taste.

I wanted to try Jay--Z's brand for a while so bought a trial size for 15 dollars....its ok but 4-7 years is just not enough time to properly age Cognac...I was all surprised at the color despite the age to make me think something else as added to give the appearance.  I will say that while it's not great on the rocks or neat....its perfect for mixed drinks.  Made a 13th last time and it was awesome

Why not enjoy both?  I enjoy a glass of whiskey in the evening, to unwind.  Why not drink whiskey that tastes good?  Maybe you haven't found what you like yet.   ???

Many whiskeys/cognacs are artificially colored.  The coloring should not effect the flavor though.

I bought it for functionality.  I dont have a kitchen island and space is limited so i needed a compact solution to add some counter space and to entertain guests.   The wheels make it easy to move and clean under if there is a spill.

Yes, I would.

Some nights I skip whiskey, and have hot tea instead, to unwind.  Plus I like the taste.

Also, unwind doesn't necessarily mean buzz.  Unwind is to relax.  If it's cold outside, I can unwind just as easily with tea, as I can with whiskey.

I unwound with Four Roses Single Barrel last night.  I think I'll have tea tonight.   ;)

Caffeine is a drug too.If you gave me the choice of just 1 beer or 1 tea/coffee  I'd choose the tea/coffee as it's a more potent drug when just one cup/glass imho.

Same here, have a bunch of herbal teas which is another reason for the Primo.  Drop a bag , get water and I'm set.  Like I said...lot of functionality in a small space
