The travel photo gig I was going on in April (Paris, Southern Provence, Nice and St Tropez) was cancelled last week. I and the owner of the travel agency that organized and chartered this trip will still get paid (insurance..) but the economic impact for the state of Florida will be significant. No Transatlantic cruises will be happening, I was at the Ritz Carlton on the beach for lunch today and the manager told me that they are down 78% now. He said they are going to start offering a local deal of $99 for 2 nights stay. Keep in mind spring break is going on right now and there should be NO vacancy on the beach, let alone 78% at the Ritz.

Good news is that if fears are correct, it will wipe out the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. You can expect an abundance of condos to hit the market in six months here in FL since the majority of the state is old farts.

Finger pointing and blaming won't change a thing. People in positions of leadership, including Trump, are doing the best they know how with regards to the coronavirus considering it is a situation which is new to everyone and any steps taken to control it are merely guesswork.

If Wuhan hadn't happened a month+ before I'd agree, we were given the blueprints, but we ignored it and dismissed the Chinese reaction as Draconian.

They made it. They know everything about it but didnt say shit to anybody because it's their own virus. So it makes sense that those who created it, reacted the fastest and in the most draconian manner.

Meanwhile the western world doesnt weld people.shut in their homes. So watchya gunna do?
