It's been in China since November/December. So Chinese travelers have been travelling all over the world since then until lockdown, Chinese travelers have infected people wherever they traveled. Then the infected locals spread it around, the virus spreading stealthily due to long incubation period before symptoms show.

Just before Wuhan was shutdown, 5 million people left the city.

5 million people left Wuhan before China quarantined the city to contain the coronavirus outbreak
Ashley Collman Jan 28, 2020, 2:41 AM

- About 5 million people left Wuhan, China, before the lockdown last week, the city's mayor said Sunday.
- As of Monday, 81 people have died from Wuhan coronavirus, and more than 2,700 cases have been reported in mainland China.
- The virus has spread to 13 countries as well, with five confirmed cases in the US.

Note China started strict lockdown when with only 2700 cases at the time and it still increased to 80,000.

The American city with the largest Chinese population is New York. Yet, there’s  been no outbreak here. Hospitals are not overrun. Only a handful of people have died and they’ve all been either very old and sick or middle-aged with diabetes and heart disease. In other words, they all had pre-existing health conditions so you can’t even say that it was corona which killed them.

There have been literally no precautions taken here until the last week when everybody has gotten all crazy. How many parties, sporting events, concerts, plays and school classes have taken place in the last few months?

If it’s really bad as we have been told shouldn’t  things be much worse here?

"Study: Coronavirus Lockdown Likely Saved 77,000 Lives In China Just By Reducing Pollution"

China’s coronavirus lockdown likely saved tens of thousands of lives by slashing air pollution from factories and vehicles, according to a new analysis by a Stanford University scientist.

Two months of pollution reduction “likely has saved the lives of 4,000 kids under 5 and 73,000 adults over 70 in China,”

This is from today, it's starting to pick up steam.

It’s picking up steam because the panic and hysteria is so great that anybody who coughs once thinks they have it and some head to the hospitals.

What has really picked up steam has been the government and business reactions. It’s gone from nothing to everything shutting down, all events canceling and the public schools closing in a week.

While I generally don’t trust governments, I don’t have a bias in this fight. If it were bad I would say it’s bad. It’s not. And if you’re going to tell me to just wait you’re gonna have to explain why we made it through the worst part of flu season without an outbreak and now it’s going to takeoff when the season is about to end.

Chicken Little Virus, aka CLV is the bigger problem.  It's not that I don't worry about the CoronaVirus but rather that I don't give a fuck about the spread of Corona to turd-worlders because the USA is not some turd-world kuntry.

What's hurting more people is the spread of CLV.

Personally, I hope the disease destroys and decimates ChiCom and islime.  The Chinese Communists wiped out how many female babies?  The muslimes are the real plague and if Corona kills 'em off, that's great for the Civilized World.

But any that feeeeeeeeeeeeel that divershitty is the way I hope they get it and promptly assume room temperature, regardless of nationality, skin color, hair color, eye color, religious beliefs or lack thereof.

So here's to CNN and PMSNBC shutting down.  Here's to all those poor, huddled asses, yearning to fleece the Civilized World dropping dead. Here's to Merkel going the way of the Dodo.  Here's to Trudeau going over the falls never to return.  Here's to the Green Meanies turning up red roses, including that insufferable cuntlette, Greta Thunberg and her parental units.  And oh yeah...Fuck Arnold Schwarzenegger too. Fucking douche.

Here's to the end of the EU and all it's "leaders".   Liberalism deserves extinction. Let the CoronaVirus be the comet that wipes them clean off the face of the Earth.

What a crock of shit....

This guy is probably a climate "scientist", his whole life revolves making incorrect predictions and making up numbers for political reasons. Piece of shit.

Seems pretty straight forward to me.

If polution is dangerous to peoples health and we get less of it, then peoples health will be better off.

It's nonsense. No one can accurately predict and come up with the numbers these clowns do.

These models are always wrong... And yet these muppets keep modelling and keep expousing their "amazing" results, it's pop science and always has an agenda.

Doesn't matter.

Facts remains that when we get less of a bad thing, then that's a good thing.

more New York

So, they treated around 12 people, who possibly had the virus?   ???

In a 12 hour shift, that's 1 person per hour, with a fever and cough.  Yes, sounds like total chaos.   ::)

on the theme of am I missing something - what about this:

What is the worst possible case scenario.  The worst possible case scenario is everyone, every man woman and child in the US, gets the corona virus.  Then what?  A lot of old people die.  And then it passes.

Maybe the problem is in the fighting it, not in the having it.

No bigger cowards in Europe than Serbians , who didn't learn about Croatian operation Storm, Serbs "army" was totally destroyed

in 72 hours by Croats  ;D ;D ;D. USAF attacked Serbs airforces in Bosnia  at the same time ,without any casualties .

Don't upset Northern Macedonia, they could trash Serbia too  :D

Yeah, with the help of several Nato countries. That's like when Hitler entered capital of Zagreb, the Croation population met him with flowers. Belgrade, the capital of Serbia was empty, until Serbs started stabbing them with partisan action in the throat.
Learn some history before you mouth defecate.

In the meantime, it seems like we are on the verge of using violence to control idiots like the ones on this board. Well, it's life. A few morons will have to be killed to drive home a point to respect quarantine.

Let's try it again and see if I can give an example that you would understand:

Example 1: You get fucked in the ass by a man carrying AIDS.

Example 2: You're not getting fucked in the ass by a man carrying AIDS, because that man is staying at home.

Which one of the two examples are more likely to give you AIDS?

Are you suggesting that people who get diseases should not be treated?

Seems like the classic "Vicious Cycle" has now been created.

Each day one politician tries to "one up" the previous politician by passing extremes measures to battle the virus. The new extreme policy causes the public to believe the virus is getting worse. To appease the public the politician then passes yet another extreme measure......

No one is reacting to what the virus is doing anymore.

For Italy

"" On 31 January, the first two cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Rome. A Chinese couple, originally from Wuhan, who had arrived in Italy on January 23 via Milan Malpensa Airport travelled from the airport to Verona, then to Parma, arriving in Rome on 28 January. The next afternoon, they developed a cough, and by evening the man had a fever; the couple were taken to Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases where they tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and were hospitalised.[20][2] The Italian government suspended all flights to and from China and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said Italy was the first EU country to take this kind of precautionary measure.[21] The government also introduced thermal scanners and temperature checks on international passengers arriving at Italian airports.[22] ""

This was the next 6 weeks or so:

1/31/2020   2 (n.a.)
2/6/2020   3 (+50%)
2/21/2020   20 (+567%)
2/22/2020   79 (+295%)
2/23/2020   150 (+90%)
2/24/2020   227 (+51%)
2/25/2020   320 (+41%)
2/26/2020   445 (+39%)
2/27/2020   650 (+46%)
2/28/2020   888 (+37%)
2/29/2020   1,128 (+27%)
3/1/2020   1,694 (+50%)
3/2/2020   2,036 (+20%)
3/3/2020   2,502 (+23%)
3/4/2020   3,089 (+23%)
3/5/2020   3,858 (+25%)
3/6/2020   4,636 (+20%)
3/7/2020   5,883 (+27%)
3/8/2020   7,375 (+25%)
3/9/2020   9,172 (+24%)
3/10/2020   10,149 (+11%)
3/11/2020   12,462 (+23%)
3/12/2020   15,113 (+21%)
3/13/2020   17,660 (+17%)
3/14/2020   21,157 (+20%)
3/15/2020   24,747 (+17%)
3/16/2020   27,980 (+13%[ii])

The last 4 days new cases totals are as follows: 3,497 3,590 3,233 and today 3,526

That's a classic linear progression. No evidence 200 plus Americans will contract the virus.
