they have been adding Covid to almost every single cause of death certificate, Influenza normally kills between 250k upwards of 650k worldwide, its odd its only 82k so far this year
You say this with such certainty. How could you possibly know that "they" (whoever they are) are listing COVID-19 as the cause of death on almost every death certificate. Surely, you exaggerate.
Is it not possible that folks who might otherwise have gotten the flu ended up sick with COVID-19 since both are viruses? One difference is there is usually a mutated strain of the flu for which vaccines aren't as effective. Flu season is October through March. According to the CDC, in the U.S. there were between 39,000,000 – 56,000,000 flu illnesses during this year's season and 24,000 – 62,000 flu deaths. COVID-19 hit the U.S. in January. Since then there have been 2,020,000 cases and 117,586 deaths. If these figures are accurate COVID-19 is far, far more deadly than the flu.
There aren't good statistics for flu cases and deaths worldwide. The World Health Organization estimates that worldwide, annual influenza epidemics result in about 3-5 million cases of severe illness and about 250,000 to 500,000 deaths. I could not find information on this year's number of influenza deaths worldwide. Where did you read that it was 82,000? That figure seems a bit odd since there were as many as 62,000 flu deaths in the U.S. alone which leaves only 20,000 deaths for the rest of the world.
