The promoters ( Dwayne and his ex-wife - who is not to be fucked with ) may well have invited him. I don't like Heath but one can't devalue the marquis value of Phil's name. Question now is, will Kai go after Phil there - fresh judges, more emphasis on performance.

OLDTIMER, I 'think' that everything will be done to maintain the Olympia as the 'BIG ONE' as a tribute to Joe who started it all in the first place.

But it will be interesting to follow along and see what affect this Athleticon will have on the other two.

But I have a strong feeling that those who make such decisions will not allow any cash award o exceed the Olympia.

Time will tell ... my feet smell!

I think they will do Phil vs Kai as the "big thing". Neither going on to do the Olympia.

They are positioning themselves as direct competition to the Olympia, but right now it's all taking place behind close doors.

That's a way of showing he is bigger/more important than the contest....

Philsulin is a sore loser still think to this day he won in 2018... and got offended because he wanted some kind of royal invitation for both expo and contest last year .

Phil did sign with the management company that is a huge sponsor of Athleticon. They have 12 invited competitors for the Icon Contest. If he competes at Athleticon, that means that he received an advance fee for competing, or a guaranteed minimum fee for showing up.

As for the 2020 Olympia, will he abandon it?
