the study is only referring to beta blocker being used before surgery, next to metformin beta blockers may be one of the best drugs all around on the market.  The people in the study also had CHF, renal failure and a whole shit slew of other issues

I'm not saying beta blockers are bad, but in this case someone on beta blockers might not be able to deal with a fever and further corona complications  as well as someone who wasn't reliant on them. Taking beta blockers could mean the person has the inability to raise their heart rate adequately in order to help fight the virus, not taking them could mean the persons heart rate sky rockets when trying to fight the virus.

Also how many bodybuilders have enlarged hearts and have kidneys that have been put through hell? Most will be able to fight it off, but the mechanism for taking some of them out is there.

One thing that seems clear with this virus is that the less strain and damage your body has gone through prior to infection the easier it is for you to fight off.
