Saw a few people wearing masks at the supermarket this morning.

One guy had it over his mouth but not over his nose.  

A couple women with masks and very determined expressions.  

Meanwhile the cashier was talking a blue streak and handling everyone's food items.  No hand sanitizer in sight.  

Corona will not be stopped!

Possibly - it’s one theory - only thing is so many countries in on the same thing ?
China’s economy is now picking up & most factories are back to peak production & more to
Make up the short fall of the Western Countries.

The factory supplying my products out of Shanghai are at 50%. Workforce management is in place with small teams coming back.

Component suppliers in Hubei region remain completely shut down.  So whilst we can produce small qtys, we will have component shortages soon if it does not reopen. Then again, retail has tanked globally so with everyone buying less, stock turns have increased so the product shortage scenario gets pushed down the road.

Even though I'll anything to avoid wearing masks, I see no harm to others in doing so. Being claustrophobic, whenever I've tried to wear a mask of any kind, it makes me very anxious and I feel as if I cannot breathe. If I were contagious, I would choose to isolate myself rather than wear a mask.

That's because they locked down the whole country and quarantined everyone. Why is this so hard to understand?
China went into lock down when they had 2,700 cases and 81 deaths. They responded early preventing millions of infections and deaths.
Now you know why other countries are also going into lock down.

I get the feeling that China waited months to even admit the virus existed.

They only went on lockdown because of media and foreign political pressure.

We will probably find out years from now that the statistics they reported were way too low.

I was at the grocery store yesterday standing in line at the cash and the cashier kept coughing without covering her mouth. I said fuck that and went immediately to the self-serve cashes.

Where instead just of one checker coughing, 50 people have spread their germs all over everything you touched at the self checkout.

I was sick for just over 2 weeks, near constant headache, nasty cough & all around just felt like shit. A few days after i started feeling better the guy i work with started getting sick, kicked his ass in short order & was tested after a trip to the Dr.... it came back positive. He’s on the mend now but had a much harder time than i did... The shits everywhere & the vast majority of people that have it don’t even know. The bottom line is unless you have existing health issues, are old (my coworker is early 60s) or have shit luck you’ll be fine

China has had approx 80.000 cases & 4500 deaths out of a population of 1.4+ billion
And is now seeing the new infections rate drop each day.

In the U.K. approx 20,000 Die each year due to Flu out of a population of 65milion
No lock downs / no hysteria/ no avoid people/ just a flu jab around October time.

Something not adding up with No’s and the level of response in terms of trying to
(& Achieving) Control of People & mass hysteria.

Will be keeping an eye on what happens in Italy over the next 2-3wks in terms of
New cases & deaths.

Why are you considering China's whole population?

The disease was pretty much looked down to Wuhan.

It would be more appropriate to take Wuhan's population/number of cases as a guideline.

And you also need to consider that the lock down was implemented before less than 100 deaths.

Yes agree.... and keep the hygiene practices up as it does slow the spread, which takes the pressure of the health care system, when older people do have severe cases so more can be saved.

If people could handle their corona infected elderly mother or grandmother being turned away from hospital to die at home or a pregnant woman getting sent away to give birth at home then we could all just carry on as normal.
