Sadly, Americans are being stripped of their rights, in this particular case their right to choose.

Many workplaces are now making it mandatory for employment to receive the COVID vaccine. Additionally, in New York City, the mayor is making it mandatory for patrons to be vaccinated in order to enter bars, lounges, theaters, gyms and restaurants.

One of the major arguments against this that I've heard is, "Well, you have the right to NOT work for an institution that requires a vaccination". That's easier said than done. I have numerous friends that work for a variety of industries, from finance to healthcare to even law enforcement and these industries are specifically catered to the types of degrees and licenses that they hold. In other words, you don't get the vaccine and you can't make a living. You can't make a living and therefore you can't pay your bills (mortgage, utilities, food and daily expenses). This is an indirect way to force a vaccine onto people. Hit them where it not only hurts, but places into question their means for survival.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you want the vaccine go get it. If you don't want the vaccine, you shouldn't be forced to get it. This is still a foreign substance that they are trying to force you to inject into your body. It's not FDA approved and if something does go wrong, you can't sue anyone (not your employer or pharmaceutical companies).

Remember, You get the vaccine and you can STILL:

Spread COVID

Die from COVID

What you might be able to appreciate is better odds at fending off the infection.

Of note, there have been numerous adverse & side effects suffered from those having received 1 or 2 doses of the vaccines. Also, as of today (8/9/2021) there have been 6,490 reports of death among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/adverse-events.html).

Again, do as you please as it's your right and the American way. I am all for supporting those that want the vaccine. What I am not supporting is a GOVERNMENT that is trying to force a vaccine into anyone's body.

You realize that my statement was that even if you get the vaccine, you can STILL die from COVID? It wasn't an absolute suggesting that you get the vaccine and you'll die from COVID, nor was it suggesting that with the vaccine you can't die from it.

When Trump said there'd be vaccines before 2020's end, liberals laughed at the notion. The "experts" said there wouldn't be one for at least 2 years.....and we should be locked down until then.

If you're being stripped of your livelihood, then yes, you're right to choose is being taken away. For instance, if you work at any major hospital in New York City, you have to get vaccinated or face termination. If you're a Physician who has established your life in NYC and have a wife and kids + a purchased home and decide you do not want to get vaccinated, this would mean that work would be almost impossible to find within NYC, as most Physicians in NYC depend on the big hospital institutions within NYC.

I don't think this is a true. A virus will mutate in any setting, whether you're vaccinated or not. Hence why the Flu vaccine needs yearly tweaking, as the virus learns how to adopt to the various Flu vaccines that are put out on a yearly basis.

What does impact EVERYONE, young/old, vaccinated or unvaccinated is the idea of mandating vaccinations. If this occurs nationwide, it sets a precedent. Tomorrow, the government will then be able to mandate whatever they want and you will not have much to say about it.

Again, my stance is about your rights and basic freedoms. I believe the virus and its variants are real. I believe it can be very deadly in select age groups with certain comorbidities. I also agree with letting those interested in the vaccine, receive the vaccine. What I am simply against is mandating vaccines and taking away the basic right of an individual to choose. Realize, I am in New York City. We saw some of the worst numbers in terms of death throughout the USA. It's very real to all NY'ers, but our rights should still be even more important.

In the interest of finding the truth I want to ask some questions from the mind of layman like myself.  Since we know that the flu kills 60,000 to 70,000 people every year in the United States......

How many people died in 2020 reportedly from covid?  Was it vastly more than 60,000?

If it's vastly more than 60,000 and yet covid is a hoax then what explains the huge increase in deaths?

How many deaths in 2020 were attributed to the flu?

If that number is very low (which I thought it was) then what explains the low to nonexistent cases of the flu?

People now are dying from respitory infections in a time of year which is virtually unheard of.

Come October November there will be a huge surge of deaths of the vaccinated and the blame will be laid at the unvaccinateds door.

Think about it like antibiotics, the use of antibiotics creates bacteria that are immune from antibiotics.
Its not people who dont take antibiotics that create mutant genes its people who take them.
