Coronavirus - Low Income Countries Futures
« on: March 24, 2020, 03:39:26 AM »
https://time.com/5805368/will-coronavirus-go-away-world-health-organization/

What countries are in the most vulnerable situation?

Everyone is vulnerable, but the big question of course is what’s going to happen when this really starts to take off in those low-income countries where they don’t have as much medical capacity such as in Africa.

It’s one of those things that you don’t want to imagine because the numbers could be so grave.

The population distribution could help. Is the humidity and the temperature going to help make a difference?

I would hope so, but look at the situation in Singapore, that’s a hot, humid country.

So the situation in these countries could be very difficult.

more concerning is, will it become re-occurring like influenza?  as a virus, it is more than capable of "Typing"

The virus will mutate every year.

It will return in one form or another like the flu.

Herd immunity will protect the vast majority of people.

I was listening to reporter this morning say that he’s never seen such an about face in Washington. Essentially everybody wants to get the country back to work as soon as possible. Gee what a surprise. Right after they got their $2.5 trillion stimulus. As I said, no reason to keep the charade going anymore.

I expect to see a huge shift in tone on Thursday when the initial job claims are released. It’s gonna be nasty.

Live updates: WHO warns United States could become next epicenter of global coronavirus crisis, citing ‘very large acceleration’ in infections.

President Trump continued to play down the dangers of the coronavirus pandemic as experts warned of a worsening crisis: A World Health Organization official said Tuesday that “we are now seeing a very large acceleration” in U.S. coronavirus infections, adding that America has the potential to become the new epicenter of the global crisis.

Thanks . I’ve heard as you get older life becomes like a movie that you’ve seen over and over. During the AIDS crisis I remember continually hearing about how it was going to explode into the heterosexual population. We’re still waiting for that to happen 35 years later. Ironically, most of it was coming from the guy you see every day today: Anthony Fauci.

To get away from the news I’ve been turning on the classic rock music channel on my cable system. It’s amazing the way music from the 70s still holds up today. Even the bands that were considered mediocre back then would be the best band in the world today.

Music today is 95% trash, the other day when kenny Rodgers died my neighbour was pumping one of his albums while I worked out the back, it was very refreshing, some classic tunes.

Almost 8 million people in South Africa have HIV-AIDS out of a population of 50 million.

Before the introduction of anti-retrovirals the death-toll was very high in South Africa, about 330 000 died from 2000 to 2005. At the moment with anti-retroviral drugs it is somewhat controllable.

Unless things have changed, the test is for the antibodies not for the virus itself. Anybody with a compromised immune system will test positive. As is the case with people who are malnourished.

Back in the day there was a scam among people who deliberately fucked with their immune systems via drinking and doing coke to test positive then collect all kinds of government bennies as a result.

And the MENSA candidates of Getbig.com (when they're not busy posting and masturbating to pictures of bottom heavy coalburners) provide us with their expert medical opinions regarding the gobal future and economic impact of the pandemic. ::)

You know the one thing I love about getbiggers, is that I have never seen one getbigger say, "you know what, I was wrong about X."

So, either:

1) Getbiggers are perfect human being who are always rights and never wrong, which means they should go collect their nobel prize and billions of dollars.

OR

2) They are wrong more often than they think and won't admit it or just don't know they are wrong.

You gotta love this site. Filled with experts in every field.  ;D ;D
